Jamie Pichcuskie We had a fantastic lunch at X- today. The wine list was impressive and the food was delicious. The staff was wonderful. The manager waa very kind and helpful. They were also extra careful with my allergy concerns. I look forward to returning soon.

Marsha Russell Love this place! We had a terrific experience here when we came for lunch on a Thursday. The space — a lovingly preserved corner of the 1896 Lockett Building on Georgetown’s square — is inviting, bright and airy, with a central room surrounded by a wraparound balcony. Our server greeted us warmly and brought our drinks promptly. The full bar has a nice choice of craft beers on tap, cocktails, and wine. The menu also has lots of enticing choices; so many things sounded good! We ordered the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries and the Fried Chicken Salad (pieces of fried chicken breast on mixed greens with bits of bacon and blue cheese crumbles), and both were absolutely delicious! We couldn’t resist the dessert special, Strawberry Buttermilk Cake with fresh berries, crème anglaise, and ice cream, and oh my goodness gracious, it was divine! We told the server it needs to be on the regular menu and she said that’s the plan. From the lunch crowd that was there that day, this is a very popular place, and based on our experience, it certainly merits that. We will be back again and again.

Stephen Moczygemba We decided to stop in after a afternoon of Shiner Brewery tour. Great German food! Recommend stopping in as they also had great appetizers and other food options such a chicken fried steaks and ribeyes!

Ladi RCM This is my second time coming here and the food and drinks are AMAZING. Our waiter had a little attitude like he didnt want to give us our food, but we got it and the food was amazing.

Ben Hunt Home-cooked, home style, in a place that feels like home. Comfort food to the max. Friendly staff that will greet with and stay smiling. Very cabin-chic but booths and chairs are comfortable. Plenty of room to walk around tables so you wont feel cramped. Bathrooms were extremely clean during a very busy lunch time.

Lisa Dowdall Updated 7/29: This place did not disappoint. 5 star everything again. A must try !! First time here. I had been seeing this place on Facebook and was curious. The food was really good. The only thing I wished was better was when we walked in we didnt know what to do. Do we seat ourselves? Do we go to the counter? So we did go to the counter and the girl was so nice but I had to ask questions on everything. How does this work? What drinks can we get with dinner? Toast and Tea is in the same building and at the same counter. The menu is one page and there arent any prices on anything . It is on the pricey side. With all this said we enjoyed the food. I will definitely go back and try different dishes.
