4 /5 E T: We went to BCN to celebrate my friend that just beat cancer and the service was awesome. Our waiter was really nice and made her feel special. He even showed us the Pablo Picasso sculpture and placed it on our table for us to look at it.
For appetizers we ordered papas bravas, another one with grilled octopus and mashed potatoes. Definitely get the papas bravas, they were small but packed a huge punch! The other appetizer was good but I wanted some more texture from the mashed potatoes, although the octopus was fantastic.
For main courses we ordered the bomba rice with seafood and the rabbit. The bomba rice was not good at all. The rice was undercooked and for a Michelin star, I was 100% expecting more. You cant call yourself a Spanish restaurant and mess up paella. The seafood was fantastic, Ill give them that. The rabbit was moist and juicy but again, terrible undercooked rice.
The desert, not shown, was an almond cake that was good but I was not blown away. It was just okay.
Sangria was good and a little boozy, but Ive had better ones elsewhere.
Overall, I give this place a 3.5, but raised it to a 4.0 because of how well we were treated.
