Beijing Buffet - (Near Port Lavaca, TX)

Texas Steph My son and I have this in our rotation once or twice a month because he absolutely loves picking his filet out of the butcher window. Tonight our server, Christian, was an absolute pleasure to have and very patient with my neuro-spicy kiddo as we normally come on a quieter Sunday or Monday night, and mom didn’t even think about it being a Friday while everyone was out of work and school. Also, Ms Leanne came by to check on everything , as she always does. Our filets were cooked to perfect medium-rare, melted in our mouths with just the right amount of seasoning. Always looking forward to our next visit!

Kstew My partner wanted to surprise me with a romantic lunch. Somewhere new, nice, and honestly price was not an issue. He sent me the amazing Google reviews and as Mexican as I am- I was speechless on the delivery of the experience. From Luis our amazing Waiter, to one of their managers (forgot her name) - everyone was attentive, we never waited for Luis or had once single complaint from any of the staff helping refill, pick up plates. My partner had the wagyu fajitas which he loved. BUT I am the one in surprise mode when I decide to get fish, I don’t eat fish, has never been in my food palate. However, I decided to try the red snapper, and OH EM GEEEE I LOVED EVERY SINGLE BITE. I was so obsessed with the flavor, soft flakiness, the skin crunch, the sauce around it that I totally forgot I had rice and beans. The ambience is so low lighting inside and I’m here for it when it comes to romantic lunch or dinner. They do have patio seating as well. I truly feel this is a place to enjoy and we will definitely be back! PS. Try their Sopapilla cheesecake with an ice cream scoop, take it in with their espresso. Chef’s kiss to the ending of our romantic lunch.

Andrew Roberts This was a very good place. It was recommended to me and did not disappoint. I hade the pina maya. Pineapple stuffed with shrimp and veggies. It was very good. We did not get any tortilla’s with it, I didn’t mind too much as I didn’t really want any but I think they are supposed to come with some. Not a big deal though. The margarita was pretty good. I got the frozen. Great place to eat and have a drink.

Bobby Kubin We always enjoy going to Angelinas! Chips and salsa are great and we seem to go through several bowls each time. The food is always served hot and fresh. My favorite entrée is the Polla a la Parrilla. That sauce is absolutely delicious! Rice is cooked and seasoned perfectly and the refried beans are thick... not runny... and have a slight smoky flavor. My wife and daughter had frozen margaritas and our waiter surprised them with complimentary shots after dinner. If youre looking for a budget friendly restaurant that still serves quality dishes... this is your place. A quick tip... If youre wanting a smaller meal for 2, I recommend splitting the fiesta nachos with your date. Plenty of food for 2!

L J This is the place to go for some fresh and always delicious Thai food Ive ever had. I would put them up against P.F. Changs any day; its just that good. If youre anywhere close to Canyon, TX, you must try this place if you want some superb oriental food!

Frank Bebey Ive been to Jaxxs a couple times now, and I can tell you that, although a bit small, the restaurant is staffed by very friendly people and the food is very good! I wont get into details, but their menu also features funny and interesting names to their meals, and the range of choices is pleasantly large, for a "burger joint". I would highly recommend if you have a lunch break, or are looking for something new for lunch or dinner, to give them a shot. The burgers are nicely sized and both times I visited and ordered fries, I received a large amount to accompany my burger, so come hungry, and try to leave room for desert and a cocktail. Since the restaurant is right off the city square, there is usually good parking within short walking distance of the restaurant, as well as other nice shops, a cigar bar, and casual other dining, drinking and shopping experiences. Now, a word of caution: this is a good place, but not exactly built to handle large groups. I was in a group of about 12 people, and because of this, it did take a bit of time to get everyone served, but I am NOT mad about this in any way, and my meal arrived very hot and delicious. I do look forward to my next visit!
