5 /5 Layni Good: My family stopped here while visiting Land of lights. Throwback burger joint offering a wide variety of options at decent prices. Food was great and the owners were very friendly and welcoming to us.

5 /5 James K.: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Full disclosure, I met the owner of this place at church but I set that aside to be able to be objective about this place, so here goes... Bensons is freaking amazingly good! I had a chicken sandwich with a cherry shake and my wife had a burger with a strawberry shake and we were definitely impressed! The staff was outstanding and they had no idea we knew the owner from church (she wasnt there that day) and their friendly welcoming demeanor was the same no matter who walked in the door! My shake had real cherries in it, none of that almost cough syrup flavor you sometimes get and my wifes shake was amazing as well! The food was fresh and amazing as well, I have a video of the steam still coming off my sandwich and the curly fries are awesome! Now the critiques: When you go (and you for SURE want to go) be careful about parking in the spaces directly in front of the building, traffic can get a bit crazy. And thats really the only critique we had and thats nothing! Overall, Bensons is the epitome of that hole in the wall hidden gem just waiting to be discovered... So go discover it! You wont regret it and we will for sure be back!

5 /5 Matt H: The staff were very friendly and the owner took time to share some of the restaurant and town history with me. I had the hornet stinger burger with onion rings. The burger had the perfect amount of heat balanced with a ton of flavor. It was the best burger I’ve had in quite a while! The onion rings were spot on as well. It was a good value for great food!

5 /5 J W: Great place in Athens! Best place for a good old fashion hamburger and fries. Staff are always pleasant and professional. Restaurant is clean and tidy, and food always taste fresh and hot. Great place for a family outing and want break the bank. I encourage you to experience yourself the service and quality of good food.

5 /5 Kyle Hobbs: Came in and got a sundae and a slush for only $5 and the whole crew was super nice and so were the customers! Great atmosphere and the manager even came and talked with us and was very kind. I will definitely be coming here if I am ever in Athens again and I recommend you try it if you are in town too!
