5 /5 Chris Sides: Casual atmosphere and great food! If you’re in Lufkin stop in here for some excellent BBQ. I had the turkey sandwich for lunch and it was very tasty. Their sauce is tangy and not overly sweet. Good job!

3 /5 Aaron Diggens: Bodacious BBQ has been around a while and I have been there a few times with inconsistent experiences. For this visit I had a 3 meat plate( sliced brisket,sausage, ribs, and two sides coleslaw and potatoes salad. The sausage was quite good, Smokey flavor, moist and good snap on the skin. The ribs where tender, flavorful and didnt need anything else. The brisket is where it went flat for me. The brisket was very dry and crumbly and the flavor was like cardboard. I did not enjoy it at all, brisket is a BBQ staple and I judge joints on how well they put out a brisket. This was very disappointing for the price of $24.00. The coleslaw was a creamy slaw without it being drenched and good flavor. The potatoe salad was more like cold mashed potatoes with the fixings of potato salad mixed in. It wasnt bad at all and I enjoyed. The service was decent and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed. The dining area was clean and organized. Overall not too shabby but sadden at such a poor showing for thier brisket.

3 /5 Brandon Holsten: Not the best barbecue not the worst barbecue… I actually asked for moist brisket or heel. I said I don’t want lean well. I ended up getting lean. It was pretty much dry basically not much flavor at all…. You would think barbecue restaurant would know what the difference is between moist or a lean …. Someone needs to educate them on what that actually means moist and heel is on the opposite side of lean/slab … some people call it the point…. This is half the reason why I don’t go out to barbecue because they never get what I want. It’s too expensive and not even satisfied.
