Bosque River Taphouse - (Near Stephenville, TX)

2 /5 Jimmy Guinn: 2nd time here since they moved and started serving food. I have a rule of not going to a new food joint until it has been open for 2 months. This is twice that I have regretted breaking my rule and both were at the same place. First time service was slow and my burger and my friends fell apart. Two other people at the table ordered the same order and both looked different. I was hoping that 4 weeks later it would be different. 45 minutes for food and they were about half full. Lots of service people standing around talking at the bar. My burger and my wifes completely fell apart and we had to eat it with a fork. Flavor was good. My daughters chicken was burnt on the "wedge" salad. It wasnt a wedge, it was really about 3 pieces of long lettuce wrapped together. Fries were cold and soggy when they got to the table. I ate 1 and my wife had the same. We were there over an hour and saw our wait person 3 times. They never asked how the food was and I would have told them if they asked. She took our drink order, came back about twenty minutes after we ordered food and then to bring our check. She never checked on us when food was there. I hope they get better but I am not sure I will give them another chance. We desperately need a good casual place to eat here.

5 /5 Montana Blessing: First time going & probably my last. Walked in got seated took about 20 min and my husband had to ask if we had a server and got told “ let me check” We had 3 other servers pass our table during this 20 min as well & one playing with her hair over by the bar. ONLY 2 other people in there and nobody could help. Almost walked out until a server FINALLY came. Food was good but not worth price. I see in the future this place won’t last

5 /5 Jen Bakken: We’ve been here several times, for brunch and dinner. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is excellent for families or large groups. We have had Elizabeth as our waitress multiple times and she is amazing. She is funny and such a pleasant person to interact with. She is great with kids and was laughing and playful with them. She has made the experience each time we come and she waits on us. Definitely recommend the Taphouse for your next get together or meal.

5 /5 Steven Peach: Today was my first time visiting their new location, a few blocks south of Tarleton, where I work. I dined in for lunch and enjoyed every dimension of my experience. The food, beer, service, and atmosphere were on point. I devoured the brisket nachos, enjoyed two local craft brews, and struck up a good conversation with the bartender. Hat tip to the chef and his kitchen staff as well!
