Cajun Tex Marshall - (Near Marshall, TX)

4 /5 Lisa Kees: Stopped in today because we ate at Cajun Tex Marshall 6 years ago when our daughter was going to ETBU. All I remember was I really liked the Boudin Balls. The Boudin Ball’s are just as I remember, fantastic!! The Shrimp Po-boy is really good too. Not too many places make good hush puppies but they do them right. The stuffed shrimp had a great flavor and a nice crust. 3pm on a Monday and the place is empty. Place your order at the counter and seat yourself. The girls bathroom was somewhat clean but the floors are sticky and I was told the guys bathroom needs cleaned.

4 /5 Tristan Jacobucci: Feeling about a 3.5 here really, I got a sweet tea and blackened chicken Cajun pastas. The sweet tea was bomb, definitely on point as it should be. The pasta on the other hand was a tad bland and definitely a bit more waterery than it should be. Either someone forgot a splash of pasta water in the Alfred or theyre cheaping out using milk instead of heavy cream. Either way the sauce was definitely lacking like some pepper and onion or something, a little muted and one note. The chicken how ever was very good. I just wish there was a little bit more. Food wait time was a bit long but it was pretty busy during my lunch visit. Something to keep in mind too, which I didnt notice til after I ordered which this place had a health department B score which youd definitely like to see bumped up, not awful but not great either.

5 /5 Tony Kinsey: Order at the counter and then they bring your food out to the table. Very busy this night and had to wait a while to order. Food came out after a while. Catfish was hot and crispy and the crawfish was great. A little loud due to the crowd but other than that it was a nice meal. Staff were friendly and I know tired as they were working hard. I would like to go back when not so crowded. But we will go back as it was a great meal. Prices were $15 to $30 a person.

4 /5 P.J. Galloway: Food was great! Ive tried their seafood gumb, Gator bites, and boudin balls. As well as the breaux bridge. The catfish was really good and flaky with an awesome crust and the etouffee complemented the fish very well. It was an amazing dish. The boudin balls were some of my favorites as well. Everything was awesome! I ended up buying some of their seasoning and it is really good as well. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

5 /5 Von Wain: In town for a business meeting and was recommended this place. Absolutely great food and staff. Whenever Im back in town this will be my 1st and last stop in and out.
