Zaykeese Riley This place is the real deal—authentic Korean BBQ at its finest! We heard about it online and decided it was worth the hour drive from South Houston, and let me tell you, the reviews weren’t lying. The food was incredible. Our server, Dawson, walked us through the menu with care, and co-owner/manager Jay shared her story of moving from Korea to Chicago and eventually opening one of Houston’s hottest Korean BBQ spots. Her passion and love for the food shines through in every detail. The meats were grilled to perfection, and the soups were rich and flavorful—but the showstopper was the egg bomb. I couldn’t even tell you what’s in it, but trust me, just eat it. Pro tip: go for it within the first two minutes before it cools and sinks (you’ll see exactly what I mean). It’s so good they only allow one per table! At about $100 for two on a Saturday afternoon, it felt worth every penny. We’ll definitely be back. Huge thanks to Jay and the team—you all knocked it out of the park!

Laura Hinson We made reservations here VERY last minute for a Texas Tech college grad. We were a bit nervous because we’d never been, but it turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Lubbock. The beef Wellington was perfectly cooked and the scallops were some of the most tender i’ve ever eaten. It was BYOB (i’m not sure if they have their liquor license now- so maybe worth calling and asking). I’d absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a special place.

Dirk’s Signature Chicken & Bar - Lubbock

Larry Ray Reed Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: B Because variety is my love language I was won over as soon as I found my item on the menu - the combination platter! The chicken strips and the steak finger strips were both good. I thought the gravy, corn, and potatoes were a little bland (and none of them were piping hot). But the star of the show was the okra. Cut in long strips rather than small pieces, battered with tons of flavor, and perfectly fried. And if there were a runner up, it would be the sauces - all of them that I tried were great. If only Dirks were around in my college days! But I’ll be back on the next L-town visit.

D M This place took me back to a time when things were so much simpler. Great food at a fantastic price. Friendly people. Ive finished eating and dont want to leave, I love small town hospitality. Im glad it still exists in America. Sipping my coffee, reflecting on my own little home town.
