Chabelas Taqueria - (Near Giddings, TX)

MARYAM Sugar Man City Square is one of those places that just makes you feel good. It’s very clean, very organized, and everything is easy to find. I love how open and family-friendly it is. You see kids playing, families walking around, and everyone seems relaxed and happy. There are so many nice spots to sit and work too. Whether you want to grab a coffee, have a meeting, or just relax with your laptop, there are work-friendly places everywhere. The restaurants are lovely—lots of variety and cozy seating areas. And the small caves and little hidden corners around the square give it a fun and unique feeling. One thing I really appreciate is how well-maintained everything is. The people who take care of this place clearly put in a lot of effort, and it shows. It’s a space that feels both peaceful and alive at the same time. And right nearby, there’s the Marriott—so convenient if you’re visiting or want to enjoy a staycation.

Jordan Caskey First time trying this place I got two quesa birria tacos they were delicious and my bf got two lunch tacos beef fajita meat with cheese they were also very good! Service was great and we got a free Mexican coke since it was our first time! Definitely will be coming back! Yum!!

JAKE TYREE The bar in of front of the kitchen is the best seat in the house. The steak is wood fired in front of you. Not just seared but cooked entirely over the wood while they constantly have to feed it. The limited people I talked to there all recommended the same thing and the double bone in pork chop did not disappoint. I wish I went with someone so I could try the apps but I well make it back there again and look forward to it. The prices were very fair for what you get and the quality. Easy parking, great food and staff. Not really much to improve on.

Jessica Jones Staying at Canyon of the Eagles this weekend (great place) and my husband saw this place on Google. I’m always down for bbq - walking up, my mouth started watering because the smells were **amazing** Simple seating with picnic tables and awnings The owner and friend were jovial and friendly The food… hands down, best Bar-B-Que I’ve had since we came to Texas. Flat out. The sauces were amazing The “beans on the house” were the ‘stick to your ribs, meaty’ type The pulled pork sandwich had layers of flavor, the meat moist and delicious. Then the ribs fell off the bones and we were blown away by their texture and (can I use flavor again??). The sauces were the best I’ve had from the Carolina’s through Tennessee and Mississippi to Texas. We actually talked him out of a bottle! (Made my husband so happy!!) Definitely worth a stop, but come at 11! They cook Friday through Saturday morning and, once they sell out, they’re done. (Usually by 1:00pm, says Randy).

Carrie Williams Cute little place with very clean bathrooms. Food was great. Very fresh.

Randy Tijerina The fish was awesome. Havent had anything like it in the area. Such a small outfit that some people were getting mad about the wait. Just letting you know that its better to call ahead of time. I had to wait quite a while but finally got fresh made not soggy fish. We ate it right outside but the only complaint would be the dust from the parking lot. No complaints about the food. Keep up the good work!
