Cheddars Scratch Kitchen - (Near Beaumont, TX)

1 /5 Billie Cope: I am a traveling nurse. I often am in Beaumont for work. I have dined in and carried out meals at this restaurant. I have not had a bad experience dining in with service or food quality. This is the second time getting carry out food that had poor quality of food with portion and with temperature of the food. This time even the yummy crescent rolls that everyone loves that I paid extra for was cold and smashed into a small to go box with cold butter poured over them. (The server told me they didn’t puff them enough but they are good to eat) The shrimp was small less than and inch in size. The chicken tenders had been fried and been sitting under a warmer… The broccoli and cheese was cold and runny. The baked potatoe was dry, no butter and especially nothing like that what is served on the table that I saw another customer get while I waited on my food. I’m highly disappointed in Cheddars with the quality of the carry out food. I checked the food prior to leaving and was too upset with the rolls to look any farther! Now I’m upset that I actually paid for this meal! I called to talk to a manager, the phone rang for 5 minutes and was told she’s too busy to take a call and will call me back in 10 minutes. Well her time is up. Cheddars you have to do better than this!

4 /5 amy blankenship: If visiting this location and you get a waiter named Michael then you’re in good hands ! His service was excellent! Very nice and did his job great! The staff at the front desk needs a little work on time for greeting customers and friendliness. Several times visiting here and every time we have had to wait about a hour on food arrival after ordering. The place is clean and the food is always pretty tasty!

5 /5 V Wendi (Wendi): We ordered curbside. It was ready on time and hot. All but one side was there when we got home but we didnt even much care because the other food we had was plentiful and scrumptious. The side wouldnt have been eaten anyhow. Will definitely be returning.

3 /5 Stephen Kennedy: Stopped by for dinner yesterday evening and found this restaurant has changed since our many visits. The restaurant did not appear to be as clean or maintained as in the past. We were seated at a table in the bar and though the bartender brought us two buttered croissants immediately, he was not our server. When our server finally arrived we ordered our drinks (2 ice waters), our entrees, and extra napkins. The server stated there may be an issue with my order (chicken pot pie) and suggested I consider ordering a backup entree. I asked him to check with the kitchen before I modified my order. He left and several minutes later he returned and stated the chicken pot pie would take 30 minutes to prepare. I responded that 30 minutes would be okay as I was also getting a house salad. He left...in the meantime we still did not have our water!! More time passed and we began to be concerned we would never receive our drinks (water), so my wife decided to reach out to the bartender for our water. As she got the attention of the bartender and asked about our water our server returned with the water and my salad. Well I finished my salad and more than 30 minutes had passed, plus our server had made a couple of passes by our table to let us know that our meals should be out soon. More time passed and then finally our meals arrived. My wife had ordered the Bourbon Salmon which included a base of rice. The rice was hard and not fully cooked and it appears from the presentation that the kitchen was not too concerned. We finished our meals and had to wait again for our server to appear so we could request our check. Our table did not have a digital payment appliance so when the server finally returned he had a digital payment appliance from the bar and handed it to me to complete the payment. We have stopped here many times on our way to and from Beaumont but I think in the future we will make other arrangements for our meals. The cleanliness and our meal service were severely lacking on this visit. BTW, the bartender was a much more attentive server and his customers who came in after us were served before us, finished their meals, paid, and left before us...all while tending bar.
