1 /5 Itz Hollywoood: Upon entering, a pungent odor immediately cast a shadow over the experience, a stark contrast to the promising reviews and my own anticipation as a devoted Mexican cuisine enthusiast. Eager to explore the menu, especially after being informed of their acclaimed burgers and flautas, we proceeded despite the concerning atmosphere.
The restaurants interior, unfortunately, echoed the initial olfactory disappointment, with a distinct smell reminiscent of decay. Amidst this backdrop, the sole redeeming feature was a striking art piece, which, regrettably, felt out of place given the overall environment. As someone who appreciates diverse culinary experiences and strives to acknowledge positive aspects, it pains me to deliver such a critical assessment.
However, transparency is paramount. The food, costing nearly $50, proved to be a significant letdown. The burger, despite the addition of avocado and lettuce, tasted akin to a fast-food chain, lacking any discernible freshness. Unless drastic improvements are implemented – encompassing cleanliness, menu refinement, and supplier changes – a return visit is unlikely. This experience was profoundly disappointing, and I feel compelled to share this candid perspective with fellow diners.
