Awais Sheikh Urban Bird Hot Chicken in San Marcos is an absolute MUST. We got the Big Bird Platter with Nashville Hot and BBQ-flavored chicken tenders, and everything was seriously on point, period. The tenders were flavorful, juicy, and had that perfect hot-chicken kick without being all heat and no taste. We also tried the Sweet Potato Fries, the Crinkle Fries, and the Elote side, and let me tell you—those sides did not feel like an afterthought at all. And the service? Incredible. Our server was awesome and went out of his way to explain what Elote was, and he even gave us a free sampler to try. On top of that, he didn’t charge us for the drinks, which was genuinely so kind and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming.
