Cicis Pizza - (Near Kaufman, TX)

4 /5 Inked and Educated Math Teacher: We visited the new CiCi’s Pizza in our hometown and had a mixed experience. Right off the bat, we didn’t receive the usual “Welcome to CiCi’s” greeting when we walked in, which was a little surprising for a brand that’s typically very friendly. When ordering drinks, I was charged extra for a larger to-go cup without being asked. I was told, “We charge everyone more for the bigger to-go unless they specifically ask for the other cup,” which honestly didn’t sit right — that’s not really how that should work. On the positive side, the buffet line was extremely full, and the employees working behind the line were attentive, helpful, and kept things moving. The kids’ modern play area looked really cool and is definitely a nice upgrade. The biggest downside for us — and something my husband, myself, and others noticed — is how crowded the dining area feels. There are way too many tables, making it a near-impossible maze just to get to your seat. I understand wanting to maximize space and profit, but removing even a handful of tables would make the experience so much more comfortable for everyone. As for the food, the pizza was hot and the desserts were good as always, with the exception of the usually perfect brownie. This time it had little to no powdered sugar and just wasn’t quite the same. Lastly, we also didn’t receive the usual “thank you” as we were leaving, which may seem small, but those little touches really matter when it comes to customer experience. Overall, there’s a lot of potential here, especially with the staff behind the buffet and the updated play area. With a few adjustments to spacing, communication at the register, and consistency, this location could be much better.

1 /5 Madison Morgan: I was here visiting and was excited to try it for the first time and experience was horrible. I overheard how the managers were talking to their employees and it made me sick. Food wasn’t the best either

4 /5 Randy Harcom: A new build and very nice. The pizza was fresh and tasted very good. Service was spotty at best and actually had a staff member bump me and not say excuse me or he was sorry.

5 /5 comb jelly92: What a beautiful grand opening! Plenty of parking space and good lighting. There were a lot of people here for the grand opening and I was expecting there to be very little pizza and for them to be slow but they had a fast turn out. Lots of pizzas and a huge variety of flavors. They had a wonderful salad bar and yummy pasta. Cant forget the dessert! They had brownies, cinnamon rolls, and two different sweet pizzas. You can order wings and individual pizzas too. And the arcade, there were so many games! The restrooms were also very nice and clean. All in all, a 10/10. I will definitely be back!

3 /5 Amanda Johnson: Packed house tonight and the staff was not handling it well. They were not keeping up the buffet line at all. Most times there was only one or two pizzas on the line. It seemed like they were working really hard to keep to go orders at the expense of those customers in house. When there was finally a new pizza placed, the line moved slowly because the pizzas weren’t being cut all the way. So customers were all having to cut their slice out using the spatulas without touching the pizzas. Dining area was sub par. The employee assigned was walking around slowly (no sense of urgency) and simply clearing tables by stacking plates on another table. Three tables were stacked high with dirty dishes. Finally two other employees came out after someone complained and they started working clearing the tables. It just seemed like a big lack of training. I think it will be fine once employees figure out their jobs better.
