Simply Bare - Pampa

Rating: 5 /5
Talia Galaviz Tried the toast today and I’m going back tomorrow again to try a bowl! This is literally some of the BEST I’ve had. Had the Greek goddess and the berry toast. So. Dang. Good. Fresh. Crunchy. Perfect. Only a Picture of the berry toast, because I took one bite and the Greek goddess was gone. I can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

Charlenes Kitchen - Port Lavaca

Rating: 4.4 /5
Aaron Porche Cute little place. They do self-serve drinks. They seem to have tea, lemonade, water, and coffee. The staff left us be the entire time, which was also fine. We got the onion ring appetizer with ranch. (#1) They came out hot and delicious. My favorite part of lunch. My girl got the chopped brisket sandwich. It was mildly sweet but in a nice BBQ sauce sort of way. I got a patty melt on rye, it was fine, but the BBQ sandwich was better. It also came with a Claussen-style pickle spear. They both came with standard chips, and we both got Doritos. They have an AYCE soup and salad bar, which looked tasty but I didnt get that. They dont seem to play any music here, which is honestly great. Bathrooms were clean. No wifi here, unfortunately. Also, the menu hurt my eyes because they are absolutely neon bright lol. Could have been me, as my girl didnt say she was blinded by them. Overall, this place deserves a visit, and if youre local they do free delivery, according to staff shirts.

Whiskey & Smoke - Flower Mound

Rating: 4 /5
Scott Moberly I hosted a surprise retirement party for my wife yesterday at Whiskey-N-Smoke down on the River Walk—and let me just say, she wasn’t the only one in for a pleasant surprise! I had never eaten there before, but I liked the location, appreciated how easy it was to get to, and wanted to support a local spot. From start to finish, working with Jamie Creevy, the GM, was a breeze. Planning an event can sometimes feel like herding cats, but Jamie and the team made it smooth and stress-free. The menu? A mouthwatering lineup of brisket, smoked chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, green beans, salad—you name it. Everything was flavorful, generously portioned, and honestly, just downright delicious. (Let’s just say no one left hungry or without a to-go box.) The servers and bartender were top-notch—attentive, kind, and on top of everything. The bartender even crafted a perfect strawberry lemon drop for my wife, which quickly became the drink of the afternoon. (We may or may not have a new family tradition.) Everyone raved about the food, the service, and the venue—and I couldn’t agree more. This was my first time at Whiskey & Smoke, but it certainly won’t be my last.

The Açaí Bar Borger - Borger

Tiffany Jones A great surprise to find this is Borger. The bowls were fantastic. The chia pudding was delicious. All fruit was wonderful. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was calming

Toasted Tomato - Anderson

Mandy Yates The food and service were great! I had mozzarella sticks and a supreme pizza, minus the pepperoni. A bit too much olives for my taste but they were easy to pick off. The pizza crust was absolutely Perfect.
