Fish City Grill - (Near Waxahachie, TX)

Edward Santiago Texas Roadhouse is a solid choice when youre craving a hearty meal and a casual, lively atmosphere. The highlight for me is definitely the fresh rolls with cinnamon butter—they’re served warm and are easily one of the best parts of the experience. The steaks are generally well-cooked and flavorful, though depending on the day, the consistency can vary a bit. When they get it right, it’s hard to beat for the price. The ribs and grilled meats are also good—tender, smoky, and satisfying. The sides are decent overall. Although my go to choices are usually the mashed potatoes and the drained corn. Service is usually friendly and fast, though when its busy, expect to wait quite a while to be seated. That said, the staff generally tries to keep things moving and make sure you’re taken care of. Overall, it’s not fine dining, but it delivers on what it promises: a fun, filling, and affordable meal in a comfortable setting. If you go in with those expectations, you’ll likely walk out full and happy.

Suzanne Miladin This is probably my favorite outdoor dining experience! The ambiance and beauty is wonderful, right next to the river. The covered patio is expansive and has a lot of rustic Western charm. There is an area set up for live bands on the patio too. Our server, Lauren, was very friendly and personable. The meal was delicious and reasonably priced. If I get back to Fort Worth, the Woodshed is at the top of my list to dine at!

Rick Rolli I ordered the blackened Cajun red fish with shrimp, rice pilaf and green beans. Dessert is butter cookie and banana creme pie. Washed it down with an Arnie Palmer. Very good food. Its so nice to not have it "fishy" tasting. Interestingly enough these items are not on their online menu. Need to go there in person. It was a beautiful day and 76 degrees. We sat outside on the patio, under the shade tarps and had a great time being heckled by the birds.

Cesar Molina Stopped for brunch at George’s Restaurant in Post. Their menu is a ménage à trois of American comfort, Greek and Mexican delights. We had the sizzling fajitas breakfast that included tender sizzling steak fajitas with sweet caramelized onions and green peppers garnished with two beautiful sunny side up eggs, refried Mexican beans, and crispy hash browns with choice of either corn or flour tortillas. My friend had the tasty Gyros platter that included gyro meat, fresh pita bread, and all the fixings ( the tzatziki sauce was amazing). Also, the service from our server Julie was efficient and prompt. The atmosphere was family oriented and welcoming. It was a busy period with lots of guests coming by from church. The final great touch was complimentary ice cream! I highly recommend!!!

Andrea B Service by Caitlyn, drinks and foods were very good. Cranberry mule, sour apple martini, margarita, chicken parm, bacon wrapped scallops, atchafalaya, bourbon salmon, steak, pumpkin cheesecake, and the bread pudding. Breadpudding was the best thing ever, make sure you order it!

John T Delicious and innovative flavors, fun atmosphere, and great service! My friends and I found this place for dinner while visiting Austin. We lucked out last minute because a reservation canceled, so we got seating on the rooftop - that was a fun experience. We ordered the queso blanco y rojo (great!), the ceviche (great!), the ahi tuna ceviche tostada (I was so happy with this - lots of flavor!!), the sweet potato relleno (yum!), and the enchiladas (great!). We really enjoyed this meal - I love flavor combos, and they delivered! The ambiance inside and out is fun. I highly recommend, and I’ll be back for the sho tuna ceviche tostadas!!!
