Floyds Seafood - Pearland - (Near Pearland, TX)

4 /5 Batman: Catfish Dinner Half and Shrimp Dinner 6ct was perfect size and an awesomely priced! The other review wasnt kidding when they said Floyds is generous with the fries. Flavor was delicious. Savory and comfort food at its best. Fish was flaky -- looked like catfish but didnt taste like it. Wasnt bad, just odd that it didnt taste like catfish. Shrimp was great as well. Fried extra crispy was the way to go for sure. When received the fish and shrimp was still warm but the fries were soggy. I put them in the air fryer for a few minutes, it helped a little bit but went back to cold and soft fast. When selecting the sauce, the choices were: cocktail, tartar, and "LB". Im thinking thats lemon pepper butter(?) but honestly unsure. I tried it and it had no flavor lol. It was good to try but I probably wont order the fried stuff again. I would like to try the blacken next time!

4 /5 C Roger (TexanPlumber): Averys Chicken Fried Catfish I was born and raised in Houston. We knew when crawfish season was coming and eagerly awaited its arrival. Looking over Floyds menu, my heart and belly were very excited. I chose the Chicken Fried Catfish. It arrived with a creamy crawfish bisque covering the golden fried fish. There was a mound of lonely white rice joining this vision of happiness. A team stopped by to ask how we were doing. I mentioned the rice. It was plain with no bisque. She quickly brought a serving to cover it with. This part rates a 5 of 5. The bisque made me smile. I could taste the freshness. Loaded with crawfish, the combination of catfish, bisque and crawfish is a meal that is hearty and flavorful. It would be impossible to finish my plate. The portion was for the "Bold & Hungry" I tried my side dish of baked potato fully loaded. Loaded it was. For some reason, the potato was cold. Not refrigerator cold but room temperature cold. I did not mention it to them because I could not eat more than a bite anyway. It was going home for tomorrows lunch. When we entered, we saw a tray of desserts. We did not think of it until we were driving home - no one offered/suggested the baked goodies. We could not eat another bite but I definitely would have taken it home. Overall, this visit was a good one. A few minor tweaks, and this would jump to our Top 10 Favorite Restaurants.

2 /5 Mari Holley: Food was a real disappointment. The fried green tomato was too thick. I expected several thin pieces and we got three thick pieces to divide between two people. My onion rings tasted rubbery like they were warmed over. My husband’s fries also tasted warmed over. The worst onion rings I have ever eaten. The shrimp and oysters were good. I think my husband’s burger was good. The service was adequate. The eye appeal was great but the taste was not. Doubtful we will go back.

5 /5 CAWM: Honestly wasnt expecting such amazingly tasty food. The boudin link is a must try! The steak was perfect! They cooked it exactly how I asked and it was super tender and juicy. My one peeve is their Arnold Palmer taste like tap water and unsweet tea. I didnt even taste a hint of lemonade. So if youre an Arnold Palmer fan dont waste your time lol

4 /5 Charlie Nystel: The "Dawg shrimp" appetizers were excellent!. The fried alligator was not overcooked or tough. I had the grilled salmon (no seasoning per my request) and asparagus. My friend had the flounder Fried with some sauce. All were excellent. My only complaint was the lava cake was a bit on the dry side. Will come back again!
