Donald Peck Great food with Great service. I had a French Dip Sandwich meal and my wife had Tequila Shrimp. We also ordered the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. The breaded mushrooms were the best I have had in years. Friendly staff and clean facility.

Cheddars Scratch Kitchen - Irving

John T I really like Cheddars - especially this location because they are professional and offer great service. Their drinks are great - I love the frozen Painkiller. The honey butter croissants are delicious. I’ve had many things for dinner, and a few I recommend are: the Grilled White Fish, the Dijon Chicken & Mushrooms, and the Cheddar’s Trio Sampler. Portion sizes are good and their sides are great - I love the broccoli cheese casserole! I recommend for a tasty, American style meal with multiple options that won’t break the bank. The ceiling fans are pretty and interesting looking.

Swifts Attic - Austin

Andrew Lee A big shout out to Swift’s Attic for an incredible introduction to their new Executive Chef Nay Castillo. If you’re looking for flavors that pop with clear identity, Chef Castillo puts a lot of dimensions (sweet, sour, bitter, cold, crunchy, hot, melty, crispy) in each of the dishes. The big test was whether my wife’s sophisticated palate would enjoy it, and it’s a testament that we walked away a happy and very full family. What an amazing dinner and service! Our favorites were the hamachi crudo, lamb pops, and fried chicken. My son demolished the edamame with multi-salts and pop rocks. We had an amazing time. Go check out Swift’s Attic and Chef Castillo’s new menu!

Cibolo Creek Brewing Co. - Boerne

Andrew Mathis Excellent burger. I had the CCB Goat Burger on a Pretzel Bun. It was fantastic. All the flavors meshed so well. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten (like I will be thinking about it for a while). The fries were not standard fries. They sort of were curled and seemed to be cut differently. They were crispy and kept the crisp hours later as I took it to go. I let my fam try it and it got eyebrow raising responses. I had their double IPA and it was very good. The beer choices covered all the bases for options you’d expect, with a few interesting brews to keep it unique. They had about 8-10 on tap choices. They even had canned beer to purchase. I did not see if they were the same beers on tap. Staff was nice, helpful, and I seemed to have been helped out by several different people which was great because I felt like they were all ready to help when I needed it. I went at an off time but it seemed like their set up doesn’t use servers. You order by the bar and have the option of keeping a tab open. That seems like a system that would make it bogged down during busy times but that’s just a guess. Lots of seating with half of it outside. It was a quaint spot that gives off major Boerne vibes that has amazing food and good beer. I look forward to going back and trying more beer (which they let you try samples, I didn’t because of time) and some more items on the menu. Hope this helps.

Ariel Hammett My husband and I went here on a date night while visiting Fredricksburg and it did not disappoint! The service was stellar and the food was simply amazing! We got the gnocchi and lobster ravioli. The tiramisu was some of the best we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing.

Urban Bird Hot Chicken - San Marcos

Rating: 4.8 /5
Awais Sheikh Urban Bird Hot Chicken in San Marcos is an absolute MUST. We got the Big Bird Platter with Nashville Hot and BBQ-flavored chicken tenders, and everything was seriously on point, period. The tenders were flavorful, juicy, and had that perfect hot-chicken kick without being all heat and no taste. We also tried the Sweet Potato Fries, the Crinkle Fries, and the Elote side, and let me tell you—those sides did not feel like an afterthought at all. And the service? Incredible. Our server was awesome and went out of his way to explain what Elote was, and he even gave us a free sampler to try. On top of that, he didn’t charge us for the drinks, which was genuinely so kind and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Highly recommend Urban Bird Hot Chicken if you’re in the area—especially if you’re shopping at the San Marcos Premium Outlets and you’re looking for Halal food that actually tastes amazing.
