Steve Shimonek We stopped at Gilberts in Van Horn Tx for lunch while passing through and were quite pleased. I had the red flat enchiladas and my wife had chicken flats. Both were EXCELLENT. The house made salsa was some of the best Ive ever had, and the service was great.i highly recommend this place.

Sarah Patterson Absolutely love this place!! The food and wine menu is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I had the Morty D (homemade whipped feta and pesto - yes please!) and a glass of Albarino. It was SO delicious. Our whole group was raving about their lunch and wine pairings. We travel through to San Antonio often from North Texas and its our new go-to spot!

William Hoff I absolutely loved this place! I had the Seafood Gumbo and Boudan Balls. The roux in the Gumbo was almost as good as my Grans and she was from Anacoco Bayou, Louisiana! The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the prices were very economical. I will definitely drop by to eat here again!

Jake Pflum Cant say enough great things about Lolos Place. Great food and even better people. You dont feel like a customer, you feel like family when you walk in. We were able to try the "Loco Moco" Friday lunch, brownies, and sourdough cinnamon rolls - all of which were phenomenal. Lolos place quickly became one of our favorite spots in Seguin.

Cannot Say Most do not know, Elena was named for a beautiful mother of three beautiful daughters. Those that knew her always mention her wonderful home cooked Mexican meals. Luz makes sure Elena the restaurant continues to offer excellent home style Mexican Tex-Mex food. My last meal there was Chicken Enchiladas with sour cream sauce...a meal most places get wrong. Again the Miss Elena legacy came shining through. The chicken was tender, well seasoned and fresh. The sauce was devine. The Refried beans could not be improved as so with the rice. The salsa is perfect for the chips or added to any dish, the iced tea was excellent. The dining room is large and quiet and that allowed myself and my guest to be able to visit and enjoy our excellent food. The parking lot is plentiful, no tight squeezed in parking or door dings, I appreciate that. The staff is so friendly, mindful of your needs...how many places just bring the food and are never seen again...this is the place you want to eat in every regard. Five stars dont seem to be enough...and that many decades of Mexican Food experience talking. Paris is blessed to have the restaurant.

Mitch Mintz Your eyes aren’t lying BBQ at a gas station. potato salad spot on homemade chips are good briskets a little dry but the sauce saves the sandwich. All the competitors are closed, Mitch’s is the only game in town. Prices are reasonable.
