Golden Chick - (Near Gainesville, TX)

1 /5 Charity P: Been coming here for a while to pick up food for my elderly relatives. . Today the green beans were sour/spoiled and the dark meat was raw in the 8 piece I picked up. Told them to give it to me and I’d return it. The last thing I want is for my grandma to get food poisoning because of chicken I brought her.Went to return and the guy I’ve never seen before said that’s because it’s not under the lamp is because it’s raw which brings me to wonder if they know they have to fully cook chicken before warming it? Didn’t give me a refund or anything on this cold raw chicken. Not going back. has to be new ownership. It used to not be like this at all. I’m just glad we didn’t eat it and got food poisoning.

1 /5 Jennifer Johnson: I ordered on the Golden Chick app and when I got there to pick up my order the place was already closed early. This was frustrating for obvious reasons, but the 1 star is due to the fact that I was CHARGED for the food a few days later. Food that I was never able to get because your establishment was closed well before your posted hours. I came to the store to let them know and was told to call corporate. I called corporate and they took all my info and told me that the owner from the store would be calling me to resolve the issue. It’s been over a week and I still haven’t heard back and I’m still not refunded for the chicken that I never got. AND NOW I CANT EVEN GET AHOLD OF CORPORATE. PLEASE REFUND ME!

2 /5 Pixie Girl: Ordered 62$ of food through Uber eats, the food was alright and it came to us fast however it was completely cold, and we had missing food, we know the Uber driver didnt take the food because it happen to be our friend that deliverd it. And the 4$ salad is super small, like a child sized handful small. We are missing our order of fries and corn nuggets.

3 /5 Curtis Mayfield: This is inside of a gas station, with a Mexican restaurant literally next to it and both restaurants share seating spaces. The was only One(1) worker in the Golden Chick! When questioned, he confirmed that he was the cook, ran the drive through, ran the inside register, and served the food. He had a good attitude and got the food out fairly quick. I order the catfish dinner combo. Two pieces of catfish (small filets) one side(Cole slaw), a dinner roll, and drink for a little less than $10. The catfish though a small quantity, was good, Cole slaw a little too sweet. My companions said their chicken tenders were good. Ill give props to the lone employee trying his best to run a whole restaurant.

5 /5 Wray Westbrook: This location is awesome!! The manager has to be the nicest person ever. The food is always prepared perfectly. The roasted chicken is always cooked to perfection. Fried okra is great. I eat here often and I never have a problem.
