Golden Chick -Food CA (Near Childress)

1 /5 Stephanie Loren: I went to get some food today, my friend & I ordered our food. We waited 30 min to get fresh chicken for her, both my chicken strips & Okra was cold, I politely told the manager that my chicken & Okra was cold, instead of offering to refund me my money, she argued & stated to me, that they were fresh, I said feel them to the manager, and walked off to avoid any conflict. If this is how you run your buisness, you ought to be ashamed, if we already was waiting on fresh chicken, I think the right thing to do, was also drop some new frozen Okra and fresh chicken strips also for me. I will not be going back. The only reason you received a one star, was because of your employees were very nice in engaging conversations, while we patiently waited.

2 /5 FullTime X2: Love me some golden chick. The Lotta zing sauce is amazing and the spicy Lotta zing seasoning is excellent on these chicken strips. I have stopped at this location twice and both times could not go inside to order. When your in an oversized vehicle you cannot exactly go through the drive through. This last time we walked up during the day and was surprised the inside was closed. A lady came up and slapped a "drive through only sign" on the door and wouldnt acknowledge us standing there at the door. We waited in the drive through standing there and the other girl did help us. When I asked her why the inside is closed she said because they are short staffed. I saw a cook leaning against the wall literally doing nothing the whole time we were there and another lady filling the orders. Three employees. Maybe Im wrong but that was enough for us to run a taco bell back in my days. Enough to run a burger joint back in my days. Not sure if its just laziness or what but someone needs to take note of this. And the fact that we tapped on the door for the lady to help us and she just walked off like screw you was not coop. Other issue is they didnt get our order right so we had to go back to get it corrected. Also the first time we went they were out of Lotta zing sauce and salads. Also didnt have sweet tea. Ill try staying away from this location in particular as I have never had bad experiences at other golden chick locations.

1 /5 Carissa Sanchez: 12/22/25 Didnt even get to try the food, as they decided to service their fryers in the middle of the day. Like, it wasnt even 2pm yet and its a major travel day before a major holiday. Who was the management or shift lead who made the call to be down for more than 30 mins without food available to float? WTH. Who chooses to do that in the middle of a shift? Didnt get tenders and my kiddos were severely disappointed, as was I. Seems like a good excuse to do nothing.
