3 /5 Queen Anne Ferrer Garcia: This Gringo’s in Pearland has a fun, welcoming vibe and friendly staff that make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The restaurant is bright, clean, and has that classic Tex-Mex charm, colorful decor, upbeat music, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Service was pretty quick, and everyone was polite and attentive, which I really appreciated.
The chips and salsa came out fresh and warm, which is always a great start. The food overall was okay, not bad, but not amazing either. Some dishes lacked seasoning, and the portions didn’t quite match the high prices on the menu. Honestly, the prices were a little outrageous for what you get, lol. You’ll definitely feel it when the bill comes!
On the bright side, the free ice cream by the front entrance is such a nice touch, it’s creamy, sweet, and perfect after a salty Tex-Mex meal. It’s probably one of my favorite parts of the visit and a fun little perk that kids and adults both enjoy.
Overall, Gringo’s is a solid spot to grab Tex-Mex once in a while, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable place to sit and chat over a meal. It’s not the best value in town, but the atmosphere, service, and free ice cream make it worth checking out at least once
