Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar - (Near New Braunfels, TX)

5 /5 Betsy Vazquez: Visited on a Saturday morning when it wasnt too crowded. We were seated promptly, no wait. They have indoor seating and patio seating in front of restaurant and in the back next to the river. Server was always attentive. Our food didnt take long to come out. I wish they had brunch or breakfast but sadly they dont. I had the club sandwich which it was good and despite not coming with a side, it was big in portion. Everybody liked their food, and the view. In the patio up front, the have a small bar and stage. They had a singer that day. Overall its a good experience, always recommended if you are visiting Gruene.

5 /5 Jonathan Wollen: Loved the setting and atmosphere. Excellent service, our server was helpful with recommendations. Good choice of fun drinks(some seasonal) and plenty of food choices. The town had a nice ambiance.

5 /5 Brandy May: We absolutely love eating here. The view is beautiful. The atmosphere is great. I can bring my toddler and we highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip. It is the best but everything on the menu is fabulous. I’ve been coming here for 20 years and I will continue to I even used to work here in the past great place !!!

4 /5 Roberta Peek: This town and restaurant were recommended to me so had to stop. Ordered a carryout from the bar around the side of the restaurant. Got the Baby Back Ribs with round cut fries and upgraded the 2nd side to onion rings for $7 more. You only get 6 onion rings though so I definitely would not do that again considering the other sides that come with are $4.99 & $5.99. It would be worth it if you got more than 6 but thats like $2 an onion ring. They are good but Ive had better. Either way, the food is good. Ribs were fall off the bone. Loved the decor. Upside down Christmas tree hanging from the rafters was fun. Friendly staff. They had live music setting up as I was leaving. Nice big area outside to sit. Even have a seesaw in the back corner.
