Herschels Restaurant -Food CA (Near Mt Pleasant)

5 /5 Carrie Kennedy: This was a diamond of a restaurant!! Its in an old Dairy Queen building, but they have updated it very nicely! The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly. When I say that the food was hot and fresh is an understatement. The food was wonderful!!! The food was flavorful, and they gave very generous portions. The only 2 things that werent perfect were.... the green beans needed a little flavor like bacon/ham and salt, and the restrooms were hot like the a/c wasnt working in there. The restaurant a/c worked great. Overall, we were super happy with our food, the sweet staff, and the restaurant. TRY THIS PLACE! It will be your new favorite!

3 /5 Dyetanya Williams: I was expecting more, because the parking lot is always full. While the place is clean and the service persons are nice, the food is bland. Theres a market for this diner style evidently. But, heres my take. Coffee is good. My medium bacon was too crispy. The eggs were not good. How can eggs be so plain they are unappetizing? Well, they nailed whatever the technique is. The blueberry pancakes were decent, but the syrup screams "Great Value". Hash browns? Im thoroughly unimpressed. I couldnt even finish it.

5 /5 Philip Maxfield: I was recommended by some friends to try this place. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you. Lady taking my order was helpful with the menu. Chos chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was NOT very thick. It was warm - NOT HOT. Mashed potatoes were thick and the gravy was peppercorn seasoned. The green beans were well seasoned and very hot. Not a whole lot of water which is good. I might try their Cobb salad next time. It looks very fulfilling.

2 /5 Dharma Reeves: Went 01/03/26 around 8-8:30 am The lady at the counter got snappy with us because I took a few minutes to order it was like it was an inconvenience to her that it took me a few minutes utes to decide what I wanted and then she got snappy with me again when I completely forgot about my drink and she snappy asked what I was drinking. Our food came out in a timely manner but it was all bland and honestly overpriced. Its ok just had to try it but probably wont be back!

4 /5 Xochil R. Buchholz: My family loves visiting our hometown staple. We have enjoyed their breakfast a lot more lately. The customer service is always wonderful, and the restaurant is updated and clean. I feel like a few of their menu items have gone down in quality but overall their food is always enjoyable. It’s a must if you are in mount pleasant.
