Huddle House - (Near Laredo, TX)

4 /5 Danny A: Came in the morning on a weekday with a group of 14. They were completely unprepared for the volume. I saw one server on the floor, and she was going a very good job for the amount of tables there were. The food was hot and super hardy. It was total comfort food. Honestly the price was a bit high to call it a greasy spoon, but probably on par with or a bit more expensive than Dennys or Village Inn.

1 /5 Rodrigo Ruiz: Me and my wife ordered the smash burgers. The hostess brought us our meal but was missing several items. She that the entire staff was a little slow in busing tables, bringing condiments, etc, I stood up and grabbed a catsup bottle from an adjacent table. The hostess Ariel snapped at me and said, "Next time if you need something, ask me. Dont let that happen again, ok?" I simply explained to her that I was the customer and the customer is always right. I simply told her that the service was a little slow. She rudely turned her back on me and left me speaking. This is a flagrant lack of respect towards customers and an indication that she lack the basic social skills need when interacting with customers. Ariel needs to be properly retrained or let go. Fortunately this is our second time back and extremely enjoy your burgers. This incident will not hold us back from coming to your restaurant. Rest assured that I sent an email to the Huddle House corporate office so they can correct this problem. The food is great but some their wait staff are inexperienced young adults who lack the maturity and social skills needed to interact with customers. Something they were never taught at home. 3 /5 Joshua Steele: The classic comes to Laredo. Been to a dozen Huddle House and Waffle House during my tractor trailer driving days. This obviously was the nicest one I have been too thus the 4 stars for atmosphere. The large walls covered with stainless steel make for a clean crisp feel when you walk in, not to mention the sweet smell of pancakes and syrup and Hash brown cooking. Good comfort food. I thought the family and I would give it a try so I brought the whole gang. I of course got the burger which was kinda small comparatively speaking to Chilis, or Whataburger. It tasted ok, nothing super special, a little salty though. The pancakes were large and fluffy, hard to mess those up. The Buffalo wings were actually fairly tasty. They were not exactly crispy but the sauce wasnt horrible as I was expecting. Dont get a drink as it will set you back almost $3+. If you get a strawberry lemonade or special drink your looking at $4+! Service was good and food came out at a reasonable rate. Enjoy!
