5 /5 Guac Star: We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at J. Alexander’s, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a special occasion, but still relaxed enough to feel comfortable. From the moment we were seated, the staff made us feel valued and truly went above and beyond to make the evening special. For dinner, I ordered the New York Strip steak, and it was cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the crab cakes, which were perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and loaded with fresh crab on the inside. We also enjoyed a fresh, crisp salad that was simple but elevated, a great complement to the main dishes. Everything was served hot and beautifully plated, with clear attention to detail. The biggest surprise of the night came at the end when the staff brought out a slice of their famous carrot cake — on the house — to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was hands down one of the best desserts I’ve ever had: moist, rich, and generously layered with frosting. That thoughtful touch truly made the night memorable. J. Alexander’s combines outstanding food with exceptional service, making it a go-to for both everyday dining and life’s biggest celebrations. Highly recommend! Alexis was a great server.

4 /5 DropForgedSurvival: What can i say other than wow! I came here with my family given we love the Quarry Location and boy was this Place On Point! The Restaurant looks amazing and the food tastes even better! The music is calming, and the mood they set during dinner is superb. Our Waitress Trinity left a little to be desired, she may of been having an off night but i will not hold the restaurant accountable on her merits. The Seared Tuna, The couscous, and the Prime Rib were Divine! Our Desserts “Pumpkin Pie / Carrot Cake” Were the chefs kiss to a wonderful meal! This place is a Very worthwhile experience we will not soon forget! Great Date Night and Family Spot! 10 out of 10! I definitely recommend! Hopefully trinity is having a better day the next time we visit.

5 /5 B A: Steak (NY Strip) & Fries tasted fantastic. When they brought the steak out the waitress asked if I could verify the steak was cooked to my liking, it was not. So they took it back and made it right. That goes a long way with me. Crab cakes were good. I dont understand why crab cakes is not on the menu at the Quarry location on the east side. Can you fix this? Team you have to try the ice cream cake. YES it will make your back big, but your taste buds will be happy. Its Oreos, Snickers, vanilla ice cream... chefs kiss. Great service and food at the La Cantera this weekend though.

5 /5 Hazel: The special Burrata and Mozzarella appetizer was delicious!! The tomatoes were so fresh my husband doesn’t even like tomatoes and he ate 3! Lol He also got the special BLT and I got the club sandwich and they both were amazing. The bread from the appetizer as well as both of our sandwiches was so fresh and soft!! And the house made chocolate cake was to DIE for!!
