Joe Fridays Diner - (Near Mexia, TX)

Laporsha Meanus I have visited Doris around 4 to 5 times while staying in Midland for work. The food is excellent, offering generous portions for the price. My go-to dish is the fried chicken, which never fails to impress. Another favorite of mine is the ox tails, but they are only available on Sundays and Fridays, which is disappointing because I could eat them every day! Their muffin-sized cornbread is simply amazing. Im usually not a fan of cornbread, but they have won me over with theirs—its that good. The customer service is decent, with everyone I encountered being friendly. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning, making it a bit warm inside. Overall, I would rate this place 8.2 out of 10.

Teena My husband and I received the best service from our waiter Josh. He was personable and had some great suggestions for our dinner. The seafood enchiladas were so good! I am still thinking about them! At a different restaurant the night before we had a watered down margarita. Not here… The Boss margarita was delicious!!! Justin, the bartender, made a little change and fixed the absolute best margarita I have ever had! Unfortunately, we live in Tennessee. If we are in the area again, we will be back!!

Craig Copen They dont skimp on the toppings!!! The pizza is juicy and delicious. Its better than 90% or more of the pizzas I have ever eaten. Id go back in a heartbeat!!! Great food!!!! LOVED IT!!!

Trained Diva Chilis, that Classic Ribeye cooked medium with a little pink is OMG so good! I had it a week ago and thought I would try my luck again at a different location, 2 for 2! I didnt expect much from the 1st steak, but it was better than most steak places. Whoever is teaching the kitchen to grill a steak has mastered it. Keep it up!

Guac Star We had an amazing dinner at Aspen Creek Grill and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was delicious. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The fish was fresh and seasoned just right, and the chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We also tried the grits, mashed potatoes, fries, sautéed mushrooms, and macaroni — and honestly, there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. The sides were flavorful and clearly made with care, and the portions were generous. The prices here are more than fair for the quality and amount of food you get. It’s the kind of place where you leave full, satisfied, and already planning your next visit. The service was attentive without being rushed, and our drinks were always topped off. If you’re looking for a spot with great food, friendly service, and excellent value, Aspen Creek Grill is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!

Lori Goats The best breakfast in town! Our server Ashli was great! Atmosphere nice and love the little contest they have with the money on the ceiling. IYKYK. Got the Logan’s Breakfast Sandwich (better be hungry), Happy Pancake for the young one (perfect), Texan French Toast (again, better be hungry)and Huebos Rancheros which were spot on. No wait. Went on a Monday around 9am.
