Latte Cafe - (Near La Grange, TX)

TheCherry RVLife We were hungry and in downtown Bastrop poring over reviews. Gracies caught our eye, not only for the overwhelming positive reviews, but also for the great atmosphere. We were not disappointed. It was a beautiful and abnormally warm winter afternoon, which made for a perfect lunch on the patio. Service was prompt and super friendly. We split a spinach salad as an appetizer. We liked it a lot - good amount of diced purple onion and bacon to add some flavor and crunch. The dressing is a little thin, but dont let that turn you off. It doesnt overwhelm the salad itself. The chicken fried steak was truly good - the steak was tender and the breading was crunchy and tasty. Good gravy. The french fries were better than most places. Kinda disappointed with the green beans - under seasoned and uninspired - they really needed a dash of salt and bacon fat. The strip steak was cooked exactly to order, which we appreciated. The garlic mashed potatoes were good, but seemed more like a casserole. The broccoli could have benefited from some red pepper flakes, butter, and lemon juice. Prices were reasonable. The kitchen was efficient at getting the food out quickly and all hot on the plate.

Leighanne Cluff My husband and I went down to Mt Pleasant to meet our granddaughter to deliver Xmas presents for her children, she suggested this restaurant for lunch, what a great surprise! Great food, huge portions and great service. My husband had the chicken fried steak it was as big as the platter it came on...I had breakfast, which is offered all day and our granddaughter had a club sandwich of which she took home half because it was so big! Definitely cominh back again?

Chris McEwan On 10/03/25 my wife and I ordered for take out so I never made it inside for atmosphere. We ordered the Lemon pepper chicken wings bone in and they were wonderful, hot, fresh. We also ordered a three meat plate. Brisket was tender, moist, hot and seasoned to perfection. The ribs great. The sausage was smoked and unbelievably good. If you are within walking distance or if you had to drive from Lubbock I highly recommend this place . For our first time visiting it was awsome.

Grace Gobart My $11.99 chicken/beef fajita plate was amazing! Very full of flavor. All the plates (we ordered eight) were delicious, and large portions.

Bryan Graham I did not eat wings. I had the snow crab legs. The waitress was really nice. The bathroom needed to be updated.

Timothy Woodson BBQ Woody here. Thnx for a great bbq visit. Ibhad the sausage and pork ribs. The 2nd i put a rib towards my face i smelt the mesquite, which gives each bite that great flavor i love. The sausage had a wonderful smoke flavor and wasnt skinny like some other bbq places are. The colslaw is deliciously unique, but familiar. I had u alls nanapuddin...mmm yummy and wished more coastal bend bbq places had that...u all are in the south...but most Texans dont get into that..they think they are just Tx. Will see ya again.
