5 /5 Ida Aristizabal: We started off with a bit of a drive (2 hours) but it was scenic and country—my favorite kind of trip! We went on a Saturday and arrived about an hour and a half before opening, which put us 4th and 5th in line. We knew they didn’t serve alcohol, but were pleasantly surprised to learn that you can bring your own. There’s also a little country store attached where they sell beer and wine, which was a nice bonus.
We came for the famous ribeyes, but they also offered pork ribeyes and chicken. The standard ribeye was 10 oz (around $32), and you can add extra ounces for about $2 each if you’re extra hungry. The ribeye was flavorful and generous, and it came with unlimited salad, mashed potatoes, and bread. For dessert, we tried both the pecan cobbler and blackberry cobbler—both were warm, sweet, and absolutely hit the spot.
From the outside, the restaurant looks small, but once inside we were surprised by how spacious it actually was. Even though the line behind us stretched long, it moved quickly and the crowd thinned out much faster than expected.
Overall, it was a fun experience with hearty food, friendly atmosphere, and well worth the drive!
