5 /5 Joseph Braun: We stopped in while on vacation from Colorado looking for some Texas BBQ. I lived here for 25 years so I tend to be picky. Moes is now one of my favorite BBQ places anywhere, easily.
The brisket was moist and flavorful without being overly fatty, it just fell apart when picked up. Im not usually a fan of sausage, but their pork sausage will definitely have me coming back, cooked with a crispy skin and beautifully textured and seasoned. The ribs were peppery with a touch of sweetness and just slid off the bone. Finally we got the brisket mac and cheese, and were impressed with it as well. The mac and cheese itself was basic, nothing special but good nonetheless, and it had a perfectly proportioned amount of brisket and sauce and cheese on top that made every bite a treat.
I prefer a sweeter kind of BBQ sauce, not as vinegary or tangy for me, and Moes delivered. It went wonderfully with the meat, and melded beautifully with the pickles and onions when I made a sandwich. Well done, Moes, we will definitely be back. In the meantime, Im drooling from writing this so Im going to go dig into my leftovers.
