5 /5 Phoebs P: This is my fourth time visiting Nishiki in just the past few months. Each visit leaves me even more impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and the variety of food choices. Theres no need to head to the Heights or Uptown for top-notch Japanese cuisine, this neighborhood gem has it all. The variety of sushi is excellent. The truffle fried rice is my personal favorite. Cocktails are always great. The service is consistently outstanding. The outdoor seating is comfortable, and parking is not a problem.

Our waiter, David, went above and beyond—he was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. On top of that, the General Manager, Eric, personally checked in on us, which really made the experience feel special and personal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, but what truly set the evening apart was the level of service. The sushi rated up there with the highest (without naming it) sushi restaurant in Houston. You can tell that the staff here genuinely care about creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for their guests. If you’re looking for a place with incredible food and outstanding service, look no further than Nashiki. We’ll definitely be coming back—and asking for David!

5 /5 Valeria Salinas: The food here is amazing! If you come, you must try the fried rice cake appetizer — it’s something I’ve never had before, but it was incredibly delicious. All the flavors came together perfectly. The sushi tasted super fresh and flavorful, and the raspberry cocktail was both yummy and strong! For dessert, I tried the mochi ice cream and fried ice cream — both were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. This place is a 10/10 — highly recommend!

5 /5 Tom Bidot: A nice and elegant space to walk into. The decor is elegant and goes very well with the theme of this place. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in an upscale restaurant. They make everything fresh, and from what I can tell, fresh ingredients are made with a team of experts behind the scenes. They have such precision and focus as they are slicing and dicing. The flavors of everything I ordered blended perfectly. Sitting at the sushi bar area, the sushi staff decided to make a special and just handed it off to me, remembering that I had a shellfish allergy. Looking at the meal ticket, they were also very clear about my allergies, and I noticed they washed their hands, cleaned the surface, and changed their gloves in extra preparation. For someone with an allergy, its very much appreciated how they take that extra special care and precaution. This is definitely a place I would recommend coming to for a date night or any other occasion. I would definitely recommend coming back to this space if you enjoy sushi and fresh ingredients.
