5 /5 Marianela Caballero: We had the pleasure of dining here this past weekend for the first time, and we were impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and the place was impeccable. However, the true highlight of our evening was the service! Zuleyma was excellent! She was friendly, frequently visited our table and provided helpful suggestions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or to celebrate an important event. Make sure to ask for Zuleyma!

4 /5 Gracie Granados: Excellent service from our waitress Karina! I ordered the taco gobernador which was delicious. Very busy restaurant, capable of seating large parties. Make sure to make a reservation if you dont want to wait. (especially on weekends). Parking is also hard to find. Overall a very popular restaurant and a nice place to for a celebration. Definitely worth trying at least once :)

2 /5 Erik Garza: My 1st time in palenque grill and I was disappointed at the fact that it is over rated, over priced and not well cooked or undercooked I should say. The server was attentive and very nice which made our day. This is a high end mexican restaurant but you could find this kind of food at any Mexican restaurant in the city at way and by way I mean way lower prices. Dont think we will be back. $42 dollars for an undercooked meat and a tortilla is absolutely crazy.....

5 /5 Mark Anthony Piñon: If you’re in Brownsville and you haven’t been to Palenque Grill yet, let me be the one to tell you: go. I walked in and immediately felt like I was about to have a great meal—service was sharp, professional, and genuinely welcoming from the start. They kicked off the experience with fresh chips and frijoles fritos that had this smooth, rich flavor with what tasted like a touch of chorizo. Not your average “bean dip”—this was comfort food with personality. And then the salsa lineup? Four different flavors that each brought something different to the table: the bold molcajete-style salsa, a smooth avocado salsa, bright pico de gallo, and a red salsa with just the right punch. Honestly, it felt like a whole tasting flight before the meal even started. The chicken fajitas came out sizzling and beautifully plated. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and paired with grilled onions, peppers, fresh guacamole, and a side of white rice that balanced everything out. It looked good, and it tasted even better. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and comfortable—great lighting, great vibe, and you can tell they take pride in every detail, from the presentation to the service. Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend.
