J Centavo Im a self proclaimed burger snob and i rate burgers harshly when not done correctly. My all time favorite burger joint was Alamo Springs burgers in Fredericksburg Texas (now out of business) second favorite was grillem all burgers in Alhambra, CA. With the demise of Alamo Springs, Grillem all went to first. And the only other burger joint that Ive ever rated 10/10 across the board. Theres some dang fine burger joints in the dfw like Liberty Burger, La Burger, etc but they all lack in some areas. Today while working in Waxahatchie, i saw this place and had to try. First the atmosphere: 10/10. Loved the old style motif and the smells.. You know a good burger is a high probability. Next service: the waitress, cook and register person were all great 10/10. Finally what counts, the burger. I ordered my standard bacon cheese burger with jalapenos and my folks shared a regular cheese burger. I got fries and they got onion rings. My burger was a SOLID 9.5. only reason not a 10 is because i prefer smash burgers. If you like them think, youll probably give this a10/10. The fries, hand cut 10/10, perfect. My folks tasted their burger a 10/10 and their onion rings (onion strings really) a 9/10. Prices were very reasonable and theres lots of choices. This is the highest score Ive given a burger joint in Texas other than Alamo springs... Its that dang good. Toasted buns, shredded veggies, grilled jalapenos, perfect. Quite honestly, i work all over the country and every corner of Texas and have tried burgers in them all. In Texas, this is definitely top two of not the best Ive tried. If you like burgers, this place doesnt disappoint! Highly highly recommended!
