Jp Lewis This has to be the best restaurant on the planet. Our waitress Savanna, despite the fact I think she was the true goddess of thunder, was AWESOME! Very attentive and super nice. The food is absolutely amazing. Really doesnt matter what you get. The beef fajitas were very likely the most tender and flavorful Ive ever had. Their gumbo is 2nd to none! It was a wonderful time here despite the massive thunder storm outside.

Erika Smith Addie T was our server and couldn’t be more delightful! Made excellent recommendations and everything was delicious! We enjoyed the Downtown Waco sushi as an app. Off menu filet and ribeye were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The bartender suggested a local whiskey that my husband really liked and a red wine that went great with my steak. I was able to add the burrata to my filet and it was also very good. No complaints. Quiet and well appointed dining area in historic building with charming touches. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice dining experience. Walking distance from Hilton.

Kbinos We have driven past this restaurant many times and finally decided to try it. We had the pretzel and we had a half All American half cheese pizza. Both were good. We went during happy hour and would probably try a different appetizer next time we go. The pretzel was good especially if you love garlic knots. I loved all the Christmas decorations, we sat in their covered patio area and was really nice for our family.

Greg Obar Terry Black’s in Waco absolutely lives up to the hype. We ordered pretty much the full lineup — brisket, pork ribs, beef ribs, sausage, and one of each side — and everything was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The service made the experience even better; we were welcomed right at the door and guided through the ordering process like VIPs. The atmosphere leans touristy but in an upscale, polished way — a great mix of BBQ joint meets destination spot. Pricing felt fair for the quality, but a friendly warning: it’s very easy to over-order when everything looks that good (ask me how I know). Parking fills up quickly, so go early if you can. Plenty of seating inside or in the covered outdoor area. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for BBQ lovers, travelers, families, or anyone who appreciates smoked meat done right.

Alexis Wright My boyfriend and I travel across the US for work, we are away from home probably 80% of the time. We have been to hundreds of restaurants. This was our first visit to Lazy Dog, and it was the best restaurant experience we have had in years. Our server Lexi was very welcoming and attentive. When we informed her that we had not been here before, the manager Greg came over with chips on the house, and answered our many questions about the menu. While debating between steaks, he recommended the chuckwagon flat iron. I was a little apprehensive as it mentioned a coffee + cocoa rub which I assumed would be pretty polarizing. Greg was very confident I would enjoy it, even offering to comp the meal if I did not! I was very pleasantly surprised. The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the chili butter on top was spectacular. The mashed potatoes (with burgundy wine sauce) were probably the best I have ever had. My boyfriend ordered the ginger soy salmon which was done perfectly, flaky and moist. We also started with the french onion pastry puffs which were very tasty. Overall everything was so flavorful. The restaurant was very clean and the service was amazing. I rarely leave reviews on anything but we had an incredible experience.
