Trevor Mcnellis Very nice romantic Italian restaurant in downtown Sulphur Springs. Food was excellent, shareable portion and the service was also great. Great date night fellas! Remember always date your mate!

Fonzy_RgV (Dark Knight_956) Hadnt heard about this hidden gem until a family member from Austin came to the RGV and told me about it through her friend channels. Wait was not long, food came out fast and very delicious. It was a party of three and we each ordered different chilaquiles to get a taste of the variety. The food was very flavorful and tasted homemade as if "la jefa" was back their running her culinary magic. I ordered a michelada and it tasted basic but the presentation was great. If they flared up the flavor of the miche mix a bit it would pair perfectly with their dishes. My wife loved the mimosas and the various options. I gave the service 4 stars because our server seemed rushed and a bit bothered to serve. It really didnt bother us because everything else was perfect. We will definitely be coming back to try some of the other amazing dish options this establishment has to offer. Im glad restaurants like these are part of Brownsville now. It shows city growth and variety.

Frank Bebey Ive been to Jaxxs a couple times now, and I can tell you that, although a bit small, the restaurant is staffed by very friendly people and the food is very good! I wont get into details, but their menu also features funny and interesting names to their meals, and the range of choices is pleasantly large, for a "burger joint". I would highly recommend if you have a lunch break, or are looking for something new for lunch or dinner, to give them a shot. The burgers are nicely sized and both times I visited and ordered fries, I received a large amount to accompany my burger, so come hungry, and try to leave room for desert and a cocktail. Since the restaurant is right off the city square, there is usually good parking within short walking distance of the restaurant, as well as other nice shops, a cigar bar, and casual other dining, drinking and shopping experiences. Now, a word of caution: this is a good place, but not exactly built to handle large groups. I was in a group of about 12 people, and because of this, it did take a bit of time to get everyone served, but I am NOT mad about this in any way, and my meal arrived very hot and delicious. I do look forward to my next visit!

Evanjelina Hernandez I had such a good time here! It didn’t take long at all to get a table, I was seated super quickly. Our waiter was super patient and really good with his service. The food itself was amazing, I loved the chicken parm and the sauce was absolutely decadent. Never had to ask for any refills cause our server was on top of it, and overall just a super great experience. I loved coming here, can’t wait to visit again.

Brian Hartsfield Delicious food, excellent cocktails, friendly and skilled staff, housed in an easily accessible location that was easy on the eyes and ears. We had the crab cakes and salad, the crawfish pies, Ellens chicken and shrimp& grits. All we absolutely enjoyed. I had the negroni, she had the mule; both skillfully crafted in a well stocked collection. The location could easily accommodate a chief for the game, at a bar that was festooned with power outlets to keep everyones phones going through the event. Definitely going into the standard rotation for us, and we hope it will be for many more.
