Best Fried Chicken - Coleman

Rating: 4.1 /5
Jennifer Kidd We just stopped here on our way back home to Dallas from our ranch in Pandale. We got 2 chicken meals & 6 tenders for our 3 King Charles Spaniels we’re traveling with. The staff was so super friendly… even packed us extra napkins & condiments, knowing we were traveling. Our chicken was DELICIOUS!! Fabulously fried and crispy, juicy meat that was cooked perfectly! Our dogs tenders were a smashing hit, as all 3 “woofed” them down! I tasted them beforehand and let me just tell you- they were awesome!! We will definitely stop here again, on future trips to our ranch!

Pete Hunt Hands down best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! The food is top notch quality and the service the same. My wife loved the seafood omelette with pancake and cheese grits and I had the 3 egg breakfast with sausage and cheese grits with pancake. It was all delicious!

L V Really good Mexican food, with a very good sized bar and plenty of seating for 2 or large groups and everything in between. Food is delish! Fajitas are tender. The pics attached are of some of the decorations which highlight the Hispanic heritage. Its a very large collection so its a must see for those interested in historical figures. This is a must stop for a terrific meal and then some!

Eric Charlton Returning here after so many years felt like rediscovering an old favorite. Everything tasted just as wonderful as I remembered. The soup was rich and comforting, the schnitzel was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the German beer paired beautifully with the meal. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the visit. It’s rare to find a place that stays so consistent over time, and this restaurant continues to deliver every time. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here and will absolutely be coming back again.

Regina Elizondo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food and even better service! The fajitas and tacos were delicious, and everything came out fresh and hot. The chips and salsa were super flavorful too. Fernando, the manager, was very friendly and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. You can really tell he cares about the customers. Definitely recommend Palenque Grill—will be coming back!

BradandJen McCleary Calico County Restaurant is a true gem in Amarillo—a place that feels like a warm hug from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re stopping in for a late breakfast or a hearty dinner, the menu is packed with tons of options to satisfy any craving. One of the best parts? Breakfast is served all day, and it’s everything you’d hope for—fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, savory omelets, and more. The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. It felt like dining with family. Our server made great recommendations and kept everything flowing smoothly, even during a busy time. You can tell they take pride in what they do here. Whether you’re in the mood for comfort food classics, a full Southern-style breakfast, or something lighter, Calico County has you covered. The food is fresh, portions are generous, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again before you even leave the parking lot.
