4 /5 Sharon Ree: Typical big city style made to order salads. You can choose wraps, small or larger bowls. You’ll pay the basic amount for the greens and veggies. You pay extra $3-5 for your choice of protein. There is soup you can add and then you have your choice of croutons, baked pita chips, croissants, etc.
There are free refills of juices/teas/carbonated drinks on the wall. It’s all meant to be aesthetically pleasing, but there is something a bit off… the employees don’t seem to know the world of Salad - the correct proportion of salad dressing to salad greens, and typical pairings. I’ve been here 3 times now, and I’m met by confusion or blank stares when I order and then I just end of pointing and there is always too much dressing and I have to watch vigilantly and say stop. Even my native Texan co-worker who loves “smothered” everything said, “yup, they don’t eat salad themselves and there’s way too much dressing.” And yes, it’s a bit pricey. $13-15 for salad.
I’ve lived in SF, Chicago, Philly, NYC, Seoul, and this is nothing special, but for Baytown on Garth, a salad place like this is a hidden gem. There are about 5-6 booths, and about 10 tables and outdoor seating. It’s nice. And there is plenty of parking.
