5 /5 Megan Leija: I have to say, I am so stinking excited to have found this place! And it’s in Fairfield of all places! I decided to try it out based on other reviews even though I was leery since they’re located in a convenient store. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food AND quantity exceeded expectations. Very flavorful and legitimately authentic in comparison to authentic mediterranean restaurants I’ve eaten at. I believe I placed my order with the owner when I called it in and he was descriptive on all options available. My 6 and 7 year old loved it all as well. We will be regulars here. And it’s so nice to finally have some variety in Fairfield.

5 /5 Veronica Ann Miller: Sals did not disappoint. Owners formerly owned Padrinos in Fairfield and we were all sad it closed. He got his second wind and opened up Sals in the Fuel Maxx..... Few things can compete with the rich satisfaction of a well-made meatball sub, a perfectly spiced shawarma, or a cheesy, oven-baked lasagna. Each dish speaks to a different culinary tradition, yet all share a common goal: pure comfort. The meatball sub stood out for its tender, flavorful meatballs coated in a tangy tomato sauce and topped with melted mozzarella. The toasted bread added a nice crunch, holding up well under all that saucy goodness. The shawarma offered a burst of Mediterranean flavor — thinly sliced, marinated meat with hints of garlic, cumin, and lemon, all wrapped in warm pita. The balance between the savory meat and cool, creamy sauce was spot-on. Finally, the lasagna was indulgence in its purest form: soft pasta layers, slow-cooked meat sauce, and cheese that stretched with every forkful. Comfort food perfection. Together, these three dishes highlight how different cultures turn simple ingredients into something deeply satisfying.

5 /5 Amy Cook: I am so thrilled to have found this place with heathy, fresh and delicious Mediterranean food inside a travel stop. I make frequent trips to and from Dallas and Exit 197 is now my go to destination for mid-trip food. Also, Sal is so kind and passionate about what he does.

We were so sad when their previous restaurant, Padrinos, closed here in Fairfield, so were absolutely thrilled that theyve opened a new venture: Sals Mediterranean Infusion. You can find them inside the Fuel Maxx, conveniently located right next to Dickeys. Sal is well known for his wonderful lasagna and meatball sandwiches, but he has knocked it out of the ballpark with his new Mediterranean menu, which is bursting with flavor! This is exactly the kind of fresh, unique eatery experience Fairfield needed that isnt the same ole thing. My Gyro was one of the most flavorful Ive had in a long time! The lamb meat was spiced to perfection, and the array of topping choices was exciting because everything was and tasted incredibly fresh. Seriously, just go try one; my words arent doing it justice! My husband got the Shawarma Wrap, and that was also loaded with awesomeness! The thinly sliced lamb combined with the cheese of choice and the freshest toppings, then grilled to infuse all the flavors together, was perfectly done. We topped off the meal with a few Dolmas, which were excellent as well! They truly love to make your food experience the best! I cant wait to go back! We also wish Sal and his wife all the best and are so glad they are back in business!"

5 /5 Solomon Growden: This is the greatest restaurant to touch this earth. The food was carefully made with delicious ingredients, the service was quick and careful. The kindest owner you’ll ever meet. There is no bad option on the menu, every second of the Sal’s experience is blissful. I wish I could eat it breakfast lunch and dinner, every day of the year. I implore you, the next time you need a quick, savory, delicious, meal with a warm feeling in the soul, stop by Sal’s.
