Sams Bar-B-Q - (Near Bonham, TX)

Keith Blanton Located off Hwy 287 in Quanah, Texas, this restaurant proved to be an exceptional dining experience. The hand-patted cheeseburger and crispy onion rings were expertly prepared to order. The establishments historic ambiance and tribute to local military veterans, particularly resonant as a veteran myself, added to its charm. Our server/cook provided attentive service, making this a highly recommended stop for travelers. As visitors from Indiana, we were thoroughly impressed with this hometown business and appreciate the pleasant experience. We wish them continued success.

Seon Broome I ate here about 3 weeks ago with family and it was a wonderfully scrumptious experience. I had this spot saved on my list of places to eat at. The opportunity finally came up, and I was glad the wait was worth it. We were seated eagerly without hesitation upon entry. All 4 of us. I ordered the Chettinad curry with chicken. This was a delicious one of the best Indian entrees Ive ever had (Ive eaten a lot, probably 20-30 new Indian restaurants this year alone). I also got the cheese naan which was so good. Thats a must try.. Its plenty of cheese, and it was gooey, and the naan was baked perfectly. The curry chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. This is a must-try here. The other entrees that were ordered I dont remember exactly, but everyone enjoyed their meals. Definitely come out and try the food here..I know I cant wait to go back.

Graciela Conklin Update November 6, 2024 - We went for an early dinner and ordered the special, catfish plate and a flounder plate. The food was good but we had to use a knife to cut our fish. Service was very good, we told her about the problem with the fish. It tasted good, it just wasn’t flaky or able to use just a fork. Update 8/17/24 - we wanted to try one of our favorite plates, stuffed flounder which didn’t disappoint! The service was great and the food and drinks (House Margarita) were great! Update 5/12/24 - we went for a mid-dinner, and the service was good along with the food. Wanted to check out the new renovated restaurant. The service was excellent, waitress was very attentive. The food was good, the broccoli was cooked with butter and a large amount of Italian seasoning which I didn’t like with my chopped sirloin steak with mushrooms & onion gravy. The turkey and dressing plate was good but the amount was not worth the price. I appreciated the rolls with honey cinnamon butter.

Emmy Love Love this lil bar its a cozy little atmosphere not a ton of people. They have indoor and outdoor seating. A selected menu item but food is very good. Staff is great! A nice little spot to stop into for drinks and wings or tacos and good vibes!
