Sams Original Restaurant - (Near Fairfield, TX)

Martina I, along with my family, had a most wonderful experience at this El Chico! We were celebrating my husbands birthday, and our waiter, Antonio did an exceptional job in catering to our needs! He was super friendly, consistently refilled our drinks, and didnt forget about us even though he was serving 4 tables, including 2 of which were groups of 5. The restaurant was clean, and our meals were delicious. Our time there ended with the lively traditional El Chico birthday song sung by a group of wait staff.

Airah Barron my boyfriend and I had dinner here after a long day. The food was excellent and our waiter Zac put the cherry on top. Very hospitable and attended superb. great place to have a meal or a drink! If you stop here ask for Zac!

Laura G Yolk has a great variety of breakfast items, and it’s an awesome spot to start your weekend. We went on a Saturday morning around 8:00, and it wasn’t very crowded yet—perfect timing! By the time we left, though, there was a line of people waiting to come in, so arriving early is definitely a good idea. The mimosas were tasty, a little on the sweeter side, but made with fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was a nice touch. I ordered the avocado toast, and I would absolutely order it again—fresh, flavorful, and filling. There’s also a nice patio outside for anyone who enjoys dining outdoors. Overall, a great breakfast spot in the heart of Sundance Square!

Nathan Martin Its been a while since I had a big good country fried steak. Come hungry and you will leave satisfied. The service was great and the atmosphere was home welcoming. If you are in area, make sure to drop by and eat up.

Brandi Lyn My husband & I took our toddler out to dinner tonight & had a wonderful experience! Food was delicious, so glad they brought the brussel sprouts back! All the staff we interacted with were so kind. The service we received from our waiter, Nick, was absolutely incredible! He was so friendly and attentive. I dont normally write reviews but felt the need to because Nick went above & beyond to serve us and we noticed him do the same to the tables around us. Thank you Saltgrass for a great dining experience as always & thank you Nick for the exceptional service!

Rendi Ramdani It’s quite difficult to find good Asian restaurants in a small town like Brownwood, so we honestly didn’t expect much when we first visited Katana. But the moment I tried their sushi, I was genuinely impressed. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and far better than what you would normally find in a small-town restaurant. I ordered the Cowboy Roll, while my partner had the Aloha Roll, and both were excellent. We also tried the hibachi chicken, and the portion was incredibly generous — big enough for the two of us to share comfortably. Everything tasted great, and the quality really stood out. The service was also wonderful. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Considering the portion sizes and the food quality, the prices are still very reasonable. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience. Katana is definitely a hidden gem in Brownwood, and we will absolutely be coming back again. Highly recommended
