5 /5 P Mounica: We had a wonderful experience at Simply Super Indian Cuisine and Bar during our drive from San Antonio to Dallas. This new location is conveniently right off I-35, making it a quick and easy detour. They’ve just opened and are currently in their soft opening phase, and everything about our visit was impressive.
We ordered the veg lollipops, rumali roti, gongura chicken, and pachi mirchi kodi pulav, and every dish exceeded our expectations. My kid absolutely loved the veg lollipops. They were so tasty that she finished all six pieces herself! The rumali roti was incredibly fresh and soft. The gongura chicken was packed with flavor, and the pachi mirchi kodi pulav was perfectly spiced and delicious. The pulav rice was very light and truly a blast to eat. A big plus for us was that we didn’t experience any heaviness or burps after the meal, which really shows the quality of the food being prepared and served.
The service deserves special mention. The staff was very attentive, and the owner personally came by to greet us and made us feel extremely welcome.
We ended our meal with butterscotch cake and baadusha. The baadusha was very fresh, and the butterscotch cake was amazingly soft unlike many Indian cakes in the US that are commercially made and often hard. This one truly stood out.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the food, atmosphere, and the entire experience. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back the next time we’re in Austin!
