Lauri B 11/14/2025: What a great experience! Virginia was our server. She was great right out of the gate! We chose inside dining since it was still a little warm outside. The inside if really cool because they have a pool view right along the side of the restaurant. Apparently, it is a family-owned restaurant and motel. We did not sit on that side, but it was neat to see. They have outdoor seating that faces the ocean, regular table seating inside, booth seating inside, and an inside bar area. We were in between lunch and dinner, but we were very hungry. We decided on the Shrimp Bang Bang, gumbo, oysters, and friend pickles (dont judge! ;)) Everything was very good. I think my favorite was the Shrimp Bang Bang and the gumbo. The siracha sauce was very tasty. Virginia was super throughput our stay. Out glasses were always full, and the service was exceptionally gracious! Ive passed this place so many times and never stopped in. So glad I finally got to try it. The restrooms were very clean as was the entire restaurant. $52 and change BEFORE tip. Dont forget to tip your waitstaff, especially when they are as great as Virginia. Keep it up Virginia. You made our stay so great!

Tri La Bite - Alpine

Jeff Spicoli Recently started going to Tri La Bite with coworkers who eat there regularly and I’m glad they introduced me. Awesome service, solid portions, great flavor pairings and okra. Love okra. The chorizo blue cheese burger is awesome as is their current bourbon burger special. I have also tried their veggie wrap which is great as well. I haven’t had all the burgers in Alpine but I’m sure their burgers are in the running for best in town. Stop by if you see them open.

Daniela Ferrera JJ was a great server, didn’t hover but still made sure we had everything to enjoy our meal. Lemon pepper wings were also really good.

Hamsa - Houston

Mark Rabinovitsh Absolutely phenomenal experience at Hamsa! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Our server Michelle was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. The floor manager Jordan Hooks was also incredibly accommodating and made us feel truly welcome. We started with the lamb hummus, amba pickled vegetables, and harissa carrots — all bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The pita bread, fresh and warm right out of the oven, was some of the best I’ve had anywhere. For mains, the chicken thigh skewer was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned, while the lamb Lachmagun was absolutely excellent — rich, savory, and full of depth. And then… dessert! The Malabi was outstanding, the Petiber tiramisu was delightful, but the chocolate halva completely stole the show — especially paired with a cup of hot Turkish coffee. Every dish was a hit, the service was top-notch, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Can’t wait to come back!

John Thompson Great Mexican restaurant. It is very large inside with plenty of seating.the service was good and the food came out promptly after our order. The food was plentiful, a little more than I could finish. I had the Flameado with chicken and beef. It was very good, but the beef took a lot of chewing.

Anthony M This is a wonderful, kid friendly, live music having, 100 plus beer option, inside or outside sittin kinda place. Went on a saturday around noon. There was a fast moving line to get your name on their list. 5 minutes later we were texted w our available table. On some Saturday mornings , a farmers market is also happening in the same parking lot. The food is great, German style dishes. Our server was great. We chose to sit outside on a warm Jan day. They offer flights of beer, and of course, the big mugs as well. Parking all around for 3.00 for 2 hours, $5 for a litgle more or $9 plus change w taxes for 24 hours. But there is also plenty of free parking (less during market days/hours).
