5 /5 Ema J: We went to the movies at Cinemark and while in town we thought to try out this restaurant. After we entered, we were greeted almost immediately and shown to a table. The waitress, as she was seating us, asked for our drink order. She brought out the drink and asked about appetizers. She recommended the Gator bites, which I hadnt ever eaten, so we ordered it. They werent bad. They remind me of eating little fat chunks of fried pork from a chicharon, which I do not like. The two other people with me loved them. I ordered fried pork, mashed potatoes, and grilled vegetable melody; my nephew ordered a fried pork chop, broccoli, and broccoli rice casserole; his uncle ordered fried catfish, fries and fried okra (the tarter sauce is too sweet). I had not had fried pork chops, as I usually eat mine grilled, and I think i will stick with grilled. I am not sure if frying it caused it to be tough or if it was over fried. Other than that one issue, everything else was on point. I definitely will be back to try the chicken fried chicken.

1 /5 Stephanie Cain: If you are looking for a restaurant with a hometown/country style atmosphere Southern Komfort has it. If you are looking for mediocre to tasteless food Southern Komfort has it. I was all excited to get a chicken fried steak and at initial presentation looked amazing, then the disappointment was great when I dug in. The meat patty was super small, very tough and had absolutely no flavor. How can you mess up a perfectly good meal? Easy.. using cheap meat and no spices. Shame!

4 /5 Yolanda Garcia: Good food stop for late lunch. This is a unique place and you will love it if you are and outdoors person or hunter. Its apparent that they like to show off trophy kills. They also do have game items on the menu. That being said it does provide for southern food. The grilled shrimp salad is good although we did not understand the lack of tomatoes. We got them as a separate charge. I ordered the chicken fried steak and I would rate it good but understand that the meat does shrink out. It does come with a half piece of toast but that day it was more like a crouton. Could have been a off day for the toast. I did like the option for peppered gravy vs brown. I chose peppered. Service was good overall. While we got there early, they do have an outside area with music on Fridays and a kids area. Menu had some options. While we normally get dessert, we passed on it this time but will take an opportunity in the future. On a scale of 1-5. Id give them a 4.5. While I rated the atmosphere lower it was mainly for the feeling of sitting in the dark.

My salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced, each bite bursting with texture and flavor. The main courses arriving at our table were plated beautifully, and every dish I saw looked like something off the pages of a culinary magazine. The kitchen clearly takes pride in its craft. Southern Komfort Kitchen combines flavor, fun, and flawless service in a way that few restaurants manage. It’s the kind of place you remember — not just for the food, but for how warmly you’re treated while enjoying it. A true five-star experience.
