Pat Thornburgh Had a wonderful lunch at BNB BBQ in Pettus, Texas today! The brisket parfait is phenomenal! This is a fantastic little mom and pop place and we will be visiting again. A true little gem in Bee County!

Scott Moberly I hosted a surprise retirement party for my wife yesterday at Whiskey-N-Smoke down on the River Walk—and let me just say, she wasn’t the only one in for a pleasant surprise! I had never eaten there before, but I liked the location, appreciated how easy it was to get to, and wanted to support a local spot. From start to finish, working with Jamie Creevy, the GM, was a breeze. Planning an event can sometimes feel like herding cats, but Jamie and the team made it smooth and stress-free. The menu? A mouthwatering lineup of brisket, smoked chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, green beans, salad—you name it. Everything was flavorful, generously portioned, and honestly, just downright delicious. (Let’s just say no one left hungry or without a to-go box.) The servers and bartender were top-notch—attentive, kind, and on top of everything. The bartender even crafted a perfect strawberry lemon drop for my wife, which quickly became the drink of the afternoon. (We may or may not have a new family tradition.) Everyone raved about the food, the service, and the venue—and I couldn’t agree more. This was my first time at Whiskey & Smoke, but it certainly won’t be my last.

susy tafolla If you are looking for a rich in flavor Mexican restaurant I totally 1,000 percent recommend Barra 83. The service is exceptional and very clean. The food and drinks are delicious!

Choua Lee-Yang What a wonderful discovery! Service was wonderful. Great, warm atmosphere and the food is delicious. I especially like the French and biscuits and gravy.
