The Boat - (Near Austin, TX)

2 /5 Stephanie Smith: The Boat has a fun, casual vibe. We tried them again for an Office Lunch last week and the food was again, decent. Nothing that really stood out for any of our party. The portions were a little less than average for the price; some dishes could have used a little more flavor. Service was friendly, the staff would definitely be more valuable if they were a little more educated on dishes and items they suggest. Everyone ended up switching their orders based on staff suggestions and that was a mistake. Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re in the area and craving seafood, but not necessarily a place I’d go out of my way for, all things considered.

5 /5 Ryan Malamud: Such an excellent and varied menu. I recommend the shrimp sampler with 4 varieties of shrimp preparations. They often have great live music. If there is a game on TV they show it and have a good drink special. Great beer and cocktail selection. Also they have quite a few arcade games including 2 pinball machines, golden tee and classic video games like ms. pac man and galaga and area 51. They have a great playground outside with a big pirate ship playscape near the stage. Awesome service with friendly wait staff and bartenders.

5 /5 Abigail Mokry: Great experience! The server was attentive and considerate. We had a big party, and she brought us all a round of waters before getting our drink orders, which is how we prefer it. The ambience was good, lots of sports were playing on the big screens. They even managed to get us all our food at about the same time. The food itself was delicious! We demolished our plates and had a great time. This is a family favorite, and I really enjoyed coming back. Well definitely stop by again next time we can.

4 /5 Timothy Williams: The Boat restaurant is a great place for entertaining. They have a great outdoor seating area with outdoor deck and playscape for kids. Inside is a huge wide open area with TVs all around for watching games. They have a small arcade area with about three or four games and most importantly they play live music weekly. As for food, it’s pretty good too. I ordered the fish tacos with two sides and the portions are huge. It was crawfish boil season and this place caters to it as they were selling crawfish by the pound. They have a big drink menu with several types of cocktails. Margaritas are pretty good too overall this place thumbs up. With a fresh coat of paint and some minor repairs this place will be an excellent place for entertaining and bringing kids. It’s just fun.
