Ds Mediterranean Grill - Waco

Rating: 4.6 /5
Old Goat My wife and I are visiting from out of town. After we arrived, we realized we had eaten here once before, many years ago. We both had chicken kabobs with different sides. Chicken was excellent. Rice, pita’s, salad and hummus were very good. The gentleman who took our order at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant itself is very basic, but it feels like a family owned business that has been around for years, so no issues. My only slight complaint is that the prices are quite high compared to our hometown Mediterranean choices. If we are visiting Waco again, we would likely return.

Hacienda Buffet Fort Worth - Fort Worth

Tricia Claiborne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Mexican buffet that’s actually authentic in Texas?? I thought I was dreaming. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon Hacienda Buffet in Fort Worth — a true hidden gem that feels like someone dropped a slice of Mexico right into the heart of Texas. From the moment I walked in, I knew this wasn’t your average buffet. The food? Amazing. A wide selection of Mexican-style meats, fresh fruit and veggies, seafood, salads, salsas, traditional desserts — I could go on. Just a heads-up: no guac or avocado, but honestly, with this many delicious options, you won’t miss it. The service was friendly and fast, and the whole place was clean and inviting. But here’s the twist: the outdoor area is a total vibe. We braved the heat to check it out and were met with shaded patio seating, an outdoor bar, a peaceful water fountain, a waterfall (yes, a waterfall), and picture-perfect spots everywhere. I could totally see this place hosting weddings, birthdays, or spontaneous dance parties. I only wish I lived closer, because this would be a regular weekend ritual. Fort Worth, y’all are lucky. Don’t keep this place a secret! #HiddenGem #AuthenticMexicanBuffet #WorthTheDrive #WaterfallsAndTacos

Kimberly Jones Bar was SUPER crowded but that’s a GREAT problem to have! Service was great. I’m not a fan of old fashioned drinks with club soda (eww, why?) but the second drink was much better! Fish is ALWAYS 10/10! I opted for the rolls today. Either I was starved out or the baker added some “extra love” today! I’m lite waning extra today rolls to go! Salad had 3 croutons…bruh lol no worries, the rolls made up for the croutons I didn’t need (my poor cankles thank you lol) Now the loaded mashed potatoes…I could eat EVERYDAY!! I added the garlic butter and gave them nuke it for a few seconds…I could eat it everyday!! Mackenzie-MOD stopped by to check on me Brandy- bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable!

Urban Bird Hot Chicken - San Marcos

Rating: 4.8 /5
Awais Sheikh Urban Bird Hot Chicken in San Marcos is an absolute MUST. We got the Big Bird Platter with Nashville Hot and BBQ-flavored chicken tenders, and everything was seriously on point, period. The tenders were flavorful, juicy, and had that perfect hot-chicken kick without being all heat and no taste. We also tried the Sweet Potato Fries, the Crinkle Fries, and the Elote side, and let me tell you—those sides did not feel like an afterthought at all. And the service? Incredible. Our server was awesome and went out of his way to explain what Elote was, and he even gave us a free sampler to try. On top of that, he didn’t charge us for the drinks, which was genuinely so kind and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Highly recommend Urban Bird Hot Chicken if you’re in the area—especially if you’re shopping at the San Marcos Premium Outlets and you’re looking for Halal food that actually tastes amazing.

Lee Weaver Great food and service. Both my wife and I have food allergies and Patsy, our server, made sure we did not have any issues. The catfish "street" tacos were fantastic. Fillets were good sized and cooked to perfection. They were crispy on the outside yet moist and tender inside. The salted caramel fries were to die for. Try them with the marshmallow sauce!

Eubanks Marianne “Tin Lizzie Traveler” Were coming back just for dessert! The appetizer of Mocjis dip was delicious then we had the fajitas and mexican tacos with barbacoa and al pastor! Generous portions great seasoning. Clean, family friendly, and a nice bar for social hour. We visited on a rainy Wednesday and they had a steady stream of regulars. We will be back!
