Ted Simons If you’re in Waxahachie, this is a MUST. We stopped here on our way back home. We were searching for an option for lunch and weee amazed by just how many options the menu had. The staff were all super helpful and friendly and the food was simply incredible. We got several items knowing we could take stuff back and we didn’t regret it at all. Peach Cinnamon Roll? The cream cheese had just enough of the peach flavor in it. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal - my wife loves oatmeal, I don’t mind it and my daughter usually won’t touch it. But we ALL loved it. They had a fall specialty item - S’mores Stuffed French Toast. Simply amazing. Creamy, dreamy chocolate spread between two pieces of French toast that’s topped with mini marshmallows and whip cream. Heaven. The bacon is crisped just right, and the flavor profile just keeps hitting even after that initial bite. I got the brisket cheddar biscuit… KILLER. Two soft biscuits topped with sliced brisket that’s packed with flavor. Then topped with cheddar cheese and an egg of your style and potatoes (I got the home fries). Hands down perfection. I think we just found a new annual stop!

Michelle Ahronian When I tell you we got our food before we barely took a few sips of our starter drinks... Wow! The Roost was comfortable and welcoming. All staff made an effort to ensure we had everything we needed. It was clearly a team effort, and they all seemed to genuinely enjoy each others company with friendly banter. Our waitress was so personable and we laughed several times together. And dont let my mention of how fast the food arrived scare you - it was cooked well, and it was delicious! They even added a bit of cinnamon to my buttered toast - an addition I didnt know I needed but now I never want to be without. Highly recommend this place!!

Texas Wanderer Driving through Post and stopped at the Allsups Valero gas station in town for some gas. Gas pumps were working and easy to use. Visited inside and the cashier was very friendly and welcomed me there. The restrooms are very clean and stocked. There are plenty of snack items and a soda fountain for drinks.

Matthew Notley I have been frequenting this establishment since the early 2000s. I love the potatoes but wonder if they are grown next to Chernobyl as they are massive. There are a ton of selections and each of them are great flavored and will leave you feeling full. They also have bubble teas and cheese wontons. If you are looking for a full meal and want something different, you should definitely try this place out.

Ron Henderson I cant promise you what happened to me will happen to you, but I got my breakfast paid for by a total stranger!! Give it a try, maybe you will get lucky too. I really enjoyed the pile on breakfast, hash, biscuits and gravy, eggs, topped with two thick and hearty sausage patties. A bargain at $8.99 even if I had had to pay.
