Elizabeth Sperling Hutchins BBQ in McKinney is one of those places that reminds you why Texas barbecue has the reputation it does. This spot runs like a well oiled machine. The staff is genuinely warm and the whole place feels like small town Texas in the best way. The décor leans into that old world homegrown charm and you can actually smell the pits working the moment you turn onto University Drive. They even have a drive through which still surprises me because the food quality is unreal for something you can pick up without leaving your car. Everything on the menu is top tier. The brisket is my personal favorite but the tri tip is the sleeper hit that should never be skipped. The ribs and sausage hold their own and the sides make you want to load up a second plate. Try the Texas Twinkie , only in Texas ;). It is very easy to walk out of here doing the wobble and not regret a single bite. They offer pit tours too and after seeing those massive smokers I know I need to make time for one next visit. Closing it out with complimentary banana pudding and peach cobbler when you dine in is the perfect touch and honestly what seals the deal.

Joshua Merillat Three words - Go. Here. Now. Get anything and everything and you will not be disappointed. You can go through the drive-thru if you’re in a hurry and you will have a great experience. HOWEVER - if you can slow down for a second to go inside and enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere while you enjoy your delish coffee and yummy treat or meal, it makes the experience so much better! You feel a sense of calm and “at home” here that is hard to find at other coffee shops and eateries. Experience it. Enjoy it. Repeat.

zainab My husband and I came to this city for a night not expecting much at all but this restaurant really was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely, the waiters were kind, service was quick, and best of all the food was incredible. As a Muslim it is hard to find good Italian food so this was a shock. We got the eggplant parmesan and shrimp alfredo, both of which were so so yummy. The next day before leaving we came back to try their pizza (also 10/10).They also gave complimentary bread rolls! Super good quality and very affordable prices. If we are ever in the area again we are sure to come back!

Sean Mardian I have never in my life had a bad experience at McAlister’s, I typically eat here at least once a week! Don’t even get me started on the sweet tea( literally the best drink known to man) you won’t catch me with out a tea pass! And starting this year I will always have a tea on me!!

Juliee-Anna Griffith This was a delicious little adventure into some local Mexican food. I would happily recommend them.to anyone. I got their Chile Relleno with 2 enchiladas, and it was amazing! My daughters devoured their nachos, and we all split the Sopapilla Fries with Caramel.
