Jordan Crowe-Ware As soon as I walked in I was welcomed, being my first time in there I wasn’t sure what to expect. Upon deciding what I wanted to order a staff member (I think he may have actually been the owner), made a recommendation that the loaded potatoes are good, and they are big, I did proceed with the potato with pulled pork and hot link on it. The customers there seemed almost like family with the staff, knew each other, asked how everything is going, etc. Every interaction I had with staff and even some other customers was positive. They asked my name for when my order was ready, and just a few minutes here it came. A loaded baked potato that justifies the saying “everything is bigger in Texas”, and it was fantastic. In a lot of restaurants they do whatever they can to get your order in, to your table, and get you out the door as quick as possible. This place here, genuinely cared about my experience, all the way from the minute I walked in, until the moment I walked out. I highly recommend and from this point forward I know where I’m getting lunch when I’m in Greenville.

This cozy little spot may be small in size and menu, but it delivers big when it comes to flavor and comfort. I ordered the fried pork chops, and let me tell you—these were the real deal. Perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection, they tasted just like the ones I remember growing up. Every bite brought back memories of Sunday dinners and family gatherings. The sides deserve just as much praise. The collard greens were tender and well-seasoned, and the candied yams? Absolutely spot-on delicious! My wife raved about her fried catfish, which was crispy on the outside and flaky inside, and her pinto beans were rich and satisfying. We didn’t get a chance to try the fried ribs this time, but you better believe we’re coming back for them. In short: Lilly Mae’s is the kind of place where the food speaks for itself. It’s unpretentious, heartfelt cooking that warms you from the inside out. Don’t let the small size fool you—this place is packed with soul.

Quazi Elahee Stopped on the way to Houston from Dallas. Took exit 164 from i45. Was not very hungry but stopped to freshen up and stretch. Seeing the menu made us order something and I think we did the good thing. Daughter is not a fond of fast food but she ate the full grilled chicken sandwich. Liked popcorn chicken. Good surroundings. Trust me after we stopped the place got filled. Until then we were just the second group of people there and then people were in the queue. There was this Jack in the box just opposite but everyone was turning into DQ from opposite side so maybe its something. Good stopover. Good was good and good customer service. Staff helped me choose the food and also recommended something that i wouldnt take. Also there was a pet park for DQ customers. Handy when traveling with your pet for a while, right? Overall good experience.

Zachary Michaud The DQ is newly renovated and looks great this needs to happen to more DQ’s across the state. Food was brought out to us. Big tables and good seating.
