Carlos Gonzalez Well I’ll be honest , I was not expecting to love this place! From the outside it looked like a cliche Tex Mex location with too many jalapeño characters on the wall. Which is not a bad thing but just not my thing. But the wife said we should try it out and give it a chance. I’m glad we did! We ordered the combo fajitas and sopapillas for dessert. They were really good. The fajitas were perfectly cooked and had a great flavor. The rice and beans were average but to be honest rice and beans are always average lol. I wasn’t a fan of the table sauces but I asked for a hotter hot sauce and they brought one out that didn’t disappoint. Let me not forget about the tortillas, I should have known I was in for a treat when I had seen the butter at the table when we sat down. Now the best part of this experience was the service. Caitlyn did an amazing job ! We thank you for such great service. Overall I highly recommend this location and it has taught me to never judge a book by its cover!

Boyce McElveen I was in the area so I decided to try Urban bird hot chicken for the very first time. I was very impressed with the flavor and freshness of the food and for the most part the service although they did put coleslaw on my sandwich initially when I asked them not to but they fixed it right away. The mac and cheese was crazy good and I ordered the second hottest sauce option and it was just right for me and Im a spicy nut anything hotter would have been in trouble lol

Luis Cuellar I hadnt been to this lovely restaurant in years and wanted to treat my kids to a great meal. The dining is the same as I remember it as well as the friendly service. We ordered an array of things including Hot & Sour soup, spring rolls, soft shell crab, and friends dumplings to start. The kids were anxious to try everything and everything was indeed delicious. The entrees and sushi came soon after. The sushi was excellent, Kung Pao Seafood Delight was delectable, and two of three kids finished their meals. It took nearly 5 years to back here but the wait was definitely worth it.

Every time I’ve come here, the servers have been fast, courteous, and genuinely attentive. You never feel rushed — if you need something, they’re right there and honestly theyre always in a good mood naturally. This time was especially meaningful. We came in hoping to have a quiet place for Bible study while we ate, but the dining area was pretty noisy and it was too cold to sit outside. We mentioned to our server that we were just trying to find a peaceful spot to do our Bible study, and without hesitation he got the Manager and he said, “We have a private room in the back — you can use that.” Even though the lights were off, he turned them on and set us up in a quiet corner so we could have our time in peace. That small act of kindness meant a lot. Not many restaurants would go out of their way to accommodate something like that, especially when it comes to something personal like Bible study. It felt respectful, welcoming, and above and beyond what we expected. We were able to eat, talk, and study comfortably without feeling rushed or out of place. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for great food, warm service, and a place that truly cares about its guests, La Playa Mexican Café is it. Mercedes The salmon skins were unique and fried perfectly. The Lao-style papaya salad was sweeter than we expected, and we realized we prefer the regular style over this version here. The steamed fish was amazing! It came out more soupy than we imagined, but we actually ended up really liking it that way.

idania macias Stopped by today for dinner and service was excellent including the food. We had Alexa as our waitress, she was a new employee and she had excellent service and very attentive. My husband and I are regulars and we always have great experience! I highly recommend Saltgrass!
