Red Brick Tavern - Conroe

Rating: 4.5 /5
Andrew Thacker This place is truly the heart of downtown Conroe. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with low-lit red brick walls that create the perfect backdrop for enjoying their impressive selection of craft beers. The service is consistently top-notch, the food is outstanding, and the live music brings everything together for an unforgettable night out.

Nickster The “Im your Huckleberry” I went here because the place across the street that said they were pet friendly I wont say the name but it starts with golden said they closed your patio that day which I was sitting in when I talked to them and my dog couldnt eat there. Smokey Joes across the street though green chili cheese steak and onion rings for excellent the waitress was very friendly not only was she friendly she brought my dog a bowl of water really good atmosphere I enjoyed. Allysa Casique From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a special experience. Dining here for the first time was nothing short of delightful. The service deserves a full five stars—our waiter, Diego, went above and beyond, welcoming us with genuine warmth and treating us like family. It’s rare to find a restaurant that truly embodies care for its guests, but this one does just that. As for the food—absolute perfection, every bite was a chef’s kiss. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience!

Gruene River Grill - New Braunfels

Calypso Carlile This restaurant was simply phenomenal. After visiting the Snake Farm, my husband, mother-in-law, niece, and I wanted to grab a bite to eat. I’m gluten-free, so I looked around for some restaurants in the area that had options for me. The menu on the website had some dishes that we designated gluten-free, so we decided to head there. When we got to the restaurant, there was a short wait. Luckily, though, shortly after we sat down for the twenty-five minute wait, I received a text saying our table was ready. We were seated right next to the large window overlooking the river, and it was a stunning view. Our waitress came to take our order and clarified which dishes were gluten-free for me. I ended up getting the Smoked Pork Tenderloin dish with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, and it was divine! My husband got the same dish, but switched out the garlic mashed potatoes with the Roasted Red Potatoes due to his dairy allergy, and he thought it was fantastic as well! The price for the four of us with tip was around $100, so it was very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. The experience was wonderful, from the ambience and the service all the way to the food. I would heavily recommend this spot to anyone wanting a good meal, even if they have dietary restrictions.

Cliff Benedict I have always loved there food and beer on tap selection and today I had the Reality Burger and it was the best start to my New Year I could have ever asked for! A chicken fried steak on a their sourdough bun with house queso and jalapenos with a Stella to wash it down was fantastic. I had a side of onion rings. This restaurant is truly a staple of San Marcos.
